Hello farmers. New to this site, but have been growing herb since the 90’s and posting/journaling elsewhere. Watching the transition from bagseed under ripped-off street lights in the attic to quantum boards/bar lights in pro quality grow tents with connoisseur seeds delivered to your house has been wild to say the least (I apologize in advance for rambling and posting lots of pictures).

I am currently flowering 2 photos in a 2.5’ x 4’ cabinet that I made myself some years ago. It has made the transition with me no from HID to blurple to qbs. Currently running 2x spiderfarmer sf2000’s.

The occupants of this space are currently 2 strains grown from a collaborative breeding project that me and a few friends in a few states have been working on for years. They are strains we like to grow and smoke. These 2 strains are good and stable products of those efforts. They were produced in a dear friends garden in NV. The lady on the left is umbrella drank. Righty is a strain called sugarpants. Without further adieu, say hello girls…

They are at 27 days on short hours. Both are done stretching and setting flowers. Just watching the show now. Here was day 1 of 12-12
Fromundas basement dance party 5

Sugarpants is tall AF. Stretches a solid 5x. Reeks of very hashy wedding cake. She is a cross of a local OG that is rolling around some gardens in Vegas crossed with a super frosty cut called “sour orange” that another friend picked up in the Sacramento area. One of those males was crossed with a lanky, productive and silly strong gelato. She has been selectively bred through a few generations and is pretty stable.

Here are a few shots of this plant’s flowers from prior runs. This is a mom that I am flowering after taking a butt ton on snips off of her. She is in the process of being reversed and I hope to have fem seeds of her in the new year. This plant is the cut of her that is being reversed. Best one any of us have found thus far.

Shorter lady is umbrella drank. She started with FPOG x triangle kush. After a few generations, one of those males was bred with a trop cookies. She hasn’t been stabilized through quite as many generations, but she’s pretty reliable. This cut of hers is one that I picked from the ones I have grown out. She has a really nice combination of OG earthiness with a hit of juicy fruit on the back. She is also a mom that I am flowering out to freshen up. Here are some snaps of her from a prior run.

Also just harvested this little auto glue x GSC. She did not shoot tall, but she shot thicc as hell. When I cut her, she made my entire house reek for hours.

Thanks for stopping in and checking out the garden if you made it to this point in my post. Cheers

“Umbrella drank” is the name that stuck amongst my group of asshole growing buddies that were involved in breeding/testing these girls. Everyone got tired of (FPOG x triangle kush) x trop cookies. I did not do any of the breeding at my “facility”. Although I finally have a place to flower out males close to where I live. Would like to do some more work with both of these ladies.

Think I forgot to mention, these ladies are each in 5 gallons of 70/30 coco/perlite. In flowering, they get 3-4 feeds per day. Hand fed, passive drainage using floraflex saucers. currently feeding gh 3 part. Have tried several other feeds, but I keep coming back to this one for cost, ease of use and consistency of the results. Also add about 1% H2O2 to their feeds. They are currently taking 4ml/gal micro and 9ml/gal bloom. Both of these girls are very heavy feeders. Cut out gh grow after about 2.5 weeks of 12-12. Cut out calmag supplement after stretch ended. Everything starts in RO water. Now I will stop rambling and go grow some flowers. Cheers

Popped some new seeds today. They are (jamaican kings bread x platinum kush) x platinum kush. They are from a friend in Massachusetts. It was back crossed with the pk to keep it from being ridiculously tall and long running (the Jamaican would still shoot pistils in week 12) and to give it more heft and thickness. I got a dozen regs from him and dropped half of them into rooting cubes this afternoon. Hoping for lots of girls, but have plans for the boys if one looks special.

The “big” ladies first four weeks of short days and long nights ends today. Liking where they are at in terms of flower development for 28 days. Prayin to the gods of men and ganj this afternoon.

Truly love growing both of these girls. They fill out the vertical space so nicely. Big stretch without a bunch of side branching. Bigger final plant with a short veg. Nuggets aren’t piled on top of each other, so you can push the number of branches without mold problems. Stellar flowers. Already getting impatient and we’re barely halfway there! Happy Friday all. Cheers

Forgot to check on the kings bread x platinum kush seeds today until this evening. 6 of 6 up in a couple days and all within a few hours of each other. Off to a good start.

Moved them into 3”x3” pots of coco this evening. These are 6” deep tiered root pruning pots. Great drainage and they can stay in there for a good while.

Need to set up the new tent and decide on the final setup. Will likely be some kind of perpetual sog. Going to be trying out some new strains and don’t like to invest veg time in them until I know they are worth it. Probably won’t clone any of them for now and just reveg any finds. Cheers

Happy Monday people of earth. Hope your week is off to at least an average start. These two ladies are at day 33 of 12-12. Starting to get good and frosty and stink something fierce. The sugarpants smells like a more hashy wedding cake to me. The umbrella drank starting to smell like juicy fruit. It will get earthier and funkier as she approaches done. Both of these girls run fast and are getting about it.

I think they’re looking pretty great. The peanut gallery at my house is duly unimpressed…

Helped a buddy trim up some Alaskan Thunderfuck today that was grown from a mom of mine he has been keeping around for a few years. He reversed her and made some fems. Grabbed a few and may throw them in the next run. This plant was always a hero.
