Well said. What's wrong with people? They can no longer think for themselves....and the others are just afraid to accept the truth.

What's the truth - what you personally deem correct? At the moment, sitting on the fence appears the wisest thing to do, rather than staunchly setting yourself up on either side of the debate, because as it currently stands we just don't know the full extent of the damage caused. Anyone they claims otherwise is lying to themselves and to everyone else. That is not to say that it's not a good idea to avoid eating fish out of the Pacific and so on however.

@monkeymun Want the truth? Here's the craziest theory about Fukushima:
Arto Lauri, former employee at the Finnish nuclear facility of Olkiluoto, provides a very clear explanation of how the Fukushima disaster happened and what caused the various explosions. He explains how HAARP was used to try and minimize the radiation in the atmosphere and Arto provides various other very insightful information.

It was a generalized statement. i.e. just look how many people still think Obozo is doing one helluva job. The average american is dumb, lazy and they just want their bread and circus shows. It's a fact that americans are the dumbest creatures on all of Earth and they are the most heavily medicated as well. Hmm.

As far as the truth of Fukushima goes? It's just common sense....which BTW the average american no longer has that capability as well.

There are three major problems at Fukushima: "Three reactor cores are missing, radiated water has been leaking from the plant in mass quantities for 2.5 years; and eleven thousand spent nuclear fuel rods, perhaps the most dangerous things ever created by humans, are stored at the plant and need to be removed,... 1,533 of those are in a very precarious and dangerous position. Each of these three could result in dramatic radiation events, unlike any radiation exposure humans (and all living creatures) have ever experienced." Ever.

Now let's look a bit further down the road. How many nuclear plants are presently in operation around the entire globe? They are nothing but big, ugly sitting ducks for boogeymen terrorists, mechanical failures (think solar flare and human error) or natural disasters.

Lets not gloss over the statement... "we just don't know the full extent of the damage caused. Anyone that claims otherwise is lying to themselves and to everyone else"

Well lookie Here... Could this be information about Fukushima?
:wideyed:
Fukushima Update
Nuclear News from Japan

I wonder who they are and what they have to say???? Well what do you know... there is A link that says "About Us" I think I will read it and see if there is anything that mentions Fukuskima and the extent of the damage... On "Fukushima Update" ;)

About

FukushimaUpdate.com went online on October 16, 2011. It is dedicated to providing news and information related to the nuclear crisis at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant in northeastern Japan. With neither a pro- nor anti-nuclear agenda and no axes to grind, Fukushima Update aims to be a one-stop source for reliable, fact-based reporting about the Fukushima situation. In addition to occasional original reporting, the website features editorials, news stories, scientific publications and videos related to the nuclear power industry, nuclear regulation, radiation measurements, and the societal effects of the Fukushima crisis. The mission of this website is to press for greater accountability, transparency and openness from government, regulators, and media with regards to nuclear power and its attendant risks.

Holy atomic pile, Batman! Look at what is right @ the "Top" of the Page

via Global Research / January 1, 2013 / Following the revelation that The Department of Health and Human Services has ordered 14 million doses of potassium iodide to be available by no later than the first of February, it is easy to see that the same federal government responsible for silently raising the allowable limits of radiation in the food supply and turning off key radiation counters positioned in the west coast may now silently be preparing for a future Fukushima meltdown.

The same type of Fukushima plant meltdown that has been predicted by leading scientists, such as those who spoke out against Fukushima’s dangers while attending the scientific symposium at the University of Alberta just a few months ago. Scientists like David Suzuki went on record in stating that Fukushima is just an earthquake away from devastating Japan and swallowing other nations with its radioactive fallout.

During the conference, Suzuki said:

“I have seen a paper which says that if in fact the fourth plant goes under in an earthquake and those rods are exposed, it’s bye bye Japan and everybody on the west coast of North America should evacuate.”

And Suzuki is not the only one with major concerns. In fact, Suzuki is perhaps one of the very few who actually received media attention due to his celebrity status as a recipient of 16 significant academic awards and host of the popular CBC Television program entitled ‘The Nature of Things’. Yale University professor Charles Perrow has voiced similar concerns in a telling piece entitled ‘Fukushima Forever’, which highlights the very serious threat of nuclear meltdown as a result of human error when it comes to removing the plant’s spent fuel rods.
A danger that the United States government certainly recognizes as legitimate based on the analysis of top experts, and undoubtedly is silently preparing for behind the scenes.

Perrow writes:
Much more serious is the danger that the spent fuel rod pool at the top of the nuclear plant number four will collapse in a storm or an earthquake, or in a failed attempt to carefully remove each of the 1,535 rods and safely transport them to the common storage pool 50 meters away. Conditions in the unit 4 pool, 100 feet from the ground, are perilous, and if any two of the rods touch it could cause a nuclear reaction that would be uncontrollable. The radiation emitted from all these rods, if they are not continually cool and kept separate, would require the evacuation of surrounding areas including Tokyo. Because of the radiation at the site the 6,375 rods in the common storage pool could not be continuously cooled; they would fission and all of humanity will be threatened, for thousands of years.

And silently stockpiling iodine is certainly the way that The Department of Health and Human Services would prepare for such an event. As of this morning, a government source has told me that this purchase is indeed bizarre given the quantity and delivery time frame (requiring a whopping 14 million doses by February 1st), and it goes alongside preparations we have seen in the past where the official response will likely play off the mega purchase as a ‘routine bulk acquisition with no real urgency or threat’.

The reality is that even getting a hold of low quality potassium iodide, which I would not ever personally take over a higher quality form of pure iodine, is becoming difficult as the population becomes aware of Fukushima’s expansive dangers. Many manufacturers are now stockpiling raw iodine and holding on to the element as a form of investment with the knowledge that Fukushima may very well meltdown in the coming months.

If I am not mistaken I believe one or more of our forum members shared this "Information" with us ;) and what do you know, someone else is independently "Confirming" the information that people keep denying... Might I make A suggestion to people that are lacking "Information"... to @ the very least, take A look @ the Link provided... Full of information. I challenge you to Simply Laugh it Off...

So I'm gonna ask it again for those of you who are so concerned about this issue...How often do you eat McDonald's, Taco Bell, Jack in the Box, Burger King. Do you smoke tobacco? Drink Red Bull? Monster? Non organic produce and meat(s)?

quote from above: "for those of you concerned about the issue" ?

Putting it mildly, EVERYONE should be concerned. Very concerned.

Your analogy of fast food eating and the issue at Fuka is a bigtime apples and oranges comparison and has zero relevance to what is happening in Japan. One, folks who choose to do those things (smoke, drink, etc) have a choice, two, ...the harm they do is to themselves and themselves only.

Nuclear radiation from Fuka? None of us have a choice in regards to radiation exposure. And not only are we directly exposed to it but so is the land, air and water, This will have a enormous effect on people and the earth in massive proportions...AND may even reek havoc on future generations of all living species (DNA damage)

Fast- food eating and nuke radiation (ala "meltdown') in the same boat? You were kidding right?

The fact that they are using homeless people to clean up this mess tells us they are scared to be there.some couple thousand rods still need to be removed and if just one rod bumps another it's over for japan.scary shit to say the least.but definitely no comparison to eating fast food or even shooting heroin, those are totally unrelated. My cousin was working in Japan when this went down (for the navy) and they all got flown out within hours so the military knew what was up from the get go ;)

Dave's point is well taken here. It's a synergistic effect that we live and that will ultimately take us out. A combo of all exposures...rarely/not just one. I agree fully with his take.

Nobody truly knows what will happen. The info you receive, as always, depends upon the "news" outlet you tune to...just like with politics. Some outlets say we are doomed...other outlets say you'd have to eat 20-40 lbs a DAY of fish from the Pacific to even get to the level considered dangerous. It's all very confusing. My approach is to live cautiously and be aware.

What I find seriously ironic and very tell-tale.... is that some posters here have commented (to the point of ad nausea) in other threads these >same< scientists, when it comes to global warming...have no merit and are falsifying info to sway opinion/garner personal fame. The tune of message after message posted here...is these scientists are..and always will be...full of shit. (they even tag our squiggly as bein full o shat!) According to these folks....and we've read it here many times...Global warming is a hoax perpetrated by theses SAME scientists, Al gore, and Obummer....

yet here...with the Fuki doomsday predictions... these SAME scientists are right on and completely correct in every prediction they are making!

Hmmm. "interesting". How they can be so stupidly wrong...and then turn around and be so amazingly right?:wtf:

There's a big diff between dietary habits (which are cumulative) and being exposed to direct life threatening toxins. Poor diet, smoking, most often take years to do their dirty work....but one nice dose of asbestos and it's it's a quick diagnosis of mesothelioma/lung cancer and death, ....same goes for certain forms of radiation from nuke plants (i.e. exposure to Cesium 137 and you're a goner, ...workers who were there are already all fucked up) So again, one is indirect and the other is direct (and no choice)

End of world, sky is falling? Perhaps not. I do think what we will see (and have been seeing) is a very slow transition with more illnesses, fertility, more diseases and cancers, more living creatures and plants becoming extinct, and more pollution of the land, air and waters. A "slow boil" sotospeak. Some of the causes are a combination of lesser severity yet others are of monumental proportions (nuke plants, fracking, oil drilling and their spills, geoengineering)

If we keep doing what we are doing (which is not good at all) we will only see more of the same and it will multiply in regards to severity. How else could it be? Really.

We haven't even touched on the half-life of of nuke waste. The stuff doesn't just evaporate or break down in a few years or so. And duct taping up you windows won't help either, lol. :)

First Law of Radiation: It travels faster than the Bureaucratic Response.
Second Law: Radiation always travels further tan the Admission
Third Law of Radiation: The effects of radiation are inversely related to the Need of the State/Country to keep Order to the Power and to eliminate/ minimize future Public Anger.

Finding out the truth on this issue is difficult..but I do know that listening to mainstream media is nothing but a line of bullshit.... therefore it's up to small independent folks (and the public) to get the real facts out.

edit: and for those who do not know, they are many forms of radiation, some being quite benign and others deadly. (sitting in front of you laptop screen and holding a stick of Cesium 37 is vastly different)

we are all going to die..

sooner or later

so

we should live like we are dying!

I went skydiving
I went rocky mountain climbing
I went two point seven seconds on a bull named Fu Man Chu
And I loved deeper
And I spoke sweeter
And I gave forgiveness I'd been denyin'

And he said, Someday I hope you get the chance
To live like you were dyin'

The real shitty part about the radiation is we just don't know. Maybe they are being on top of things- maybe not. Maybe they will tell us Before we need to take cover and most of us will have a chance to cover up- maybe they won't. Maybe they have raised the limits because the limits could safely be raised- doubt it.
Its the same lame conspiracy I always end up seeing- shit happens, smells like a cover up, no proper investigation, and media wants me to watch how happy recreational pot in colorado makes stoners or how many cops got killed being dicks last year.

Maybe I'm ready for humans to die off- I just wish we would stop taking the animals with us.

Military poisoned by Fukushima radiation

U.S Navy sailors onboard the USS Ronald Reagan were some of the first Americans to respond to the tsunami and nuclear disaster in Fukushima, Japan in 2011. Now - they're suing TEPCO !!!!

One statement I keep hearing repeated in one way or another is "We just don't know the full extent of the damage caused / severity of Fukushima"

One thing I do know... In every single case where the Federal Government has been "Caught" in A lie or somehow deceiving / harming / manipulating people through it's actions weather political, bureaucratic or militarily
... When people become suspicious and begin to "Question" actions or lack of, there is "Always" A Perfectly Reasonable Explanation... Underline Always A Perfectly Reasonable Explanation why "You Shouldn't" be suspicious or ask questions... Purely Coincidental? I don't believe in coincidence, everything happens for A reason... And when our Federal Government is involved actions are planed and deliberate they don't just "Happen" on their own :wtf:

Have u watch this VIDEO? @SoCal 420 Disturbing to say the least! If HAARP is really responsible for this, then we know who's guilty, the question is why China or Russia don't say nothing about it.

Maybe if everyone keeps falling into the hype and fear mongering I'll be able to eat my Toro and maguro for MAAAAAD cheap.

I tried to eat enough to glow the other but it just didn't happen.

No glow with the Toro huh?? Thats disappointing....

I've read and researched all I could find on HAARP and its the same fucking story- NO REAL INFO. If they have the tech to do this kind of stuff- we are fucked. I say this because if they have the tech to do that, they have the tech to provide the world with renewable free clean safe energy and they CHOOSE not to = we're fucked.
