Carboload has been on the menu since week 2 of flower. Maxed out this week and tapering down next week. Gonna hit em with Blackstrap for the flush.

Weekly Bud Porn! Turns out the caretaker is allergic to Serenade. He broke out in hives after he doused them Saturday night. :(

Four weeks to go and so far so good.

I'm gonna put out the "no problems" vibes for you down there. They are looking GORGEOUS, and I love how neat your garden has remained.

NO RAIN! NO RAIN! NO RAIN! Just til Celtic gets his girls pulled, mkay?

Say hello to El Nino.

it because of those of you willing to share a moment & a thought to help someone youve never met that we all together may succeed. real impressive grow CelticEBE. thank you for the tips.

@Goldenrod

I went into my local hydro store this morning to pick up some Serenade and chatted with the owner for a little bit and he was telling me about a problem he was having. I gave him my recomendations from what I have learned from here and knowing other growers. He was so thankful and it made me feel good to be helpful. I have learned so much from this site and the people on here.....learned what to do....and what not to do. LOL

Glad I could be of help!

So the reason I was in the hydro store bright and early was I got a phone call from the caretaker saying that he found mold this morning. I had him burn up a gallon of this stuff called PM wash I picked up at the Long Beach Indoor Garden Expo. We are going to hit up with a combo of Serenade and Saturator and then cut out what ever has been infected. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed here.

Anyway.....

Good luck! I spoke with my son this morning and he's got bud rot. Tonight I found PM just beginning to run rampant on my Blockhead mother, and showing itself on many other girls. So, out everything and everyone came from the table (it's a big wooden box with lights and fans and stuff in it) and they got a good, soaking foliar with Soya'nara. I *do* have both OxiDate and Serenade on hand, as well as stylet oil. But the rain is coming and that basement tends to stay damp, so we'll see just how difficult is my battle.

All is crossed.

Well after a heart breaking day of cutting infected buds off the plants we have come to the conclusion that all may not be lost. We found some caterpillars and we believe that's the cause of the rot. Quick trip to a couple of hydro stores we loaded our guns with Azatrol, Saturator, Caterpillar killer and more Serenade. Its a bit deppressing.....but I am gearing up for the fight. 2 weeks to go.

Spoke with my oldest boy a couple of days ago, he's losing bud left and right to rot. And he made the observation that the girls that are not under the canopy he made are having *no* issues with rot. They're having issues with caterpillars. Gotta start the spray and be religious, things are just too easy in southern California.

It came on like a tornado. Things were looking really good and then all of a sudden......BOTRYTIS! After getting really frustrated of lopping off cola's and beautiful trichrome laden buds I put a phone call into my old mentor. She asked if I had seen any caterpillars. Apparently they munch on the buds, and the poo they leave behind, plus the high humidity levels we have seen lately, equaled a perfect recipe for mold.

We gave the girls a drench of water and the caterpillar killer yesterday, cut off infected buds, then doused them with Azatrol and DM's saturator. Taking the day off Wednesday to assess the situation and going to hit them with Serenade and Saturator and cut out whatever mold we find.

I may just start flushing this out and pull things a bit early. Forecasts say that the next two weeks will be nice.....but they also change every hour it seems.

Ouch, that's a hit, Celtic. But your mentor's got you dialed in, by the sound of it, and you have all the tools of a well-designed arsenal.

One week to go. We are still fighting the mold and the caterpillars. Won't be near the harvest we were hoping for, but we will salvage something out of this.

The Goo seems to be a lot more resistant. I honestly can't wait for this outdoor run to be over. If I EVER do anything outdoors again it will be in a greenhouse.

Gave em one last dose of Serenade today. We're pulling everything on Saturday. Got a LOT of beautiful Purple and White buds out there. Gonna take some pics this weekend and that will be a wrap for this run. Time to gear up for some indoor runs!

Took us 3 days to take it all down. We managed to salvage a good amount of bud. Lost a LOT of prime colas and noticed that the uppers were affected more than the lowers. Guess that's where the damn caterpillars were hatched. The goo wound up being alot more resistant to the mold than the blackberry. We bought what must have been the last spinpro in SoCal and my right arm feels like its going to fall off.

Lots of frosty buds are now drying and we will be spinning up some hash and making butter soon.

i got caterpillars in my last outdoor, they really suck. i hated seeing nice sweet buds gone because of stupid caterpillars. i just went out and shook my plant and the eaten buds would just fall off, depressing..... beautiful grow, did you use all house and garden products?? ive used them and loved them, just got to be pricey. my outdoors got seeded, so i was wondering if someone had a male around my area or..... those caterpillars.... ive heard the stress from them munching can assist in seeding up things. did any of yours have seeds?

No seeds. I ran a combination of AN and HG with a few other additives like Great White and Groteks ProSilicate. We wound up with a decent harvest, but lost about 1/2 to 2/3rds to the damn pillars. Lessons learned.

The best way to protect your plants from catapillars is to treat them early on before they begin to flower atleast once a week and from the early stages of flower twice a week till about week 4 or 5! Then after that hope for the best i dont think you want to treat the ladies near harvest time! Sorry to hear about the damage to your crop those pesky catapillars can do some serious damage! Ive been thru it before and its not nice at all!
