I am having a problem with a fungus or mold on my rockwool clones.
I tried making covers for each one out of panda plastic. That seems to have slowed down the growth, but not stopped it.

It gets pretty nasty, first green then black and slimy.
Is there some topical treatment I can use and not damage the plants at this young age?

H202, Physan?

Thank you.

Go pick up some block covers. They sell them in different sizes for your needs. No matter what you do ya gona get some fungi amongi. These covers will def. help you out. It should die down once you do this.

I made some covers out of black/white poly. It has slowed down the growth.

My last run got out of control even with covers. I guess some light still gets to the rw.

I think I read somewhere about cinnamon working, but I can't find that anymore.

Thanks for the help.

the hydro shop sells coco squares that cost like 5 bucks or something really cheap like that get them put them on the RW problem solved and the RW can still breath.

JonDoe,
They are just starting veg and have been transferred to 3x3 rw blocks.
No hydroton yet - will be in a multiflow system for flower.

H2O2 - regular store type or 29% from hydro store? I have both.
I have used a little root excel and great white - are those bennei's?

The last round I put the 3x3 rw block into Sure To Grow bucket inserts. Some of them developed a nasty black slimy mold on the whole surface - even with panda plastic cut to cover.

Thanks everyone.

The block should be pretty much bone dry once the roots are down into the buckets. In my ebb buckets I place the rw a quarter to half inch above the water line....Dry RockWool = No growth on block.

You will have to light top feed a few days until they get going.
Works like a Charm, even in my Bubblers
