Thanks all, busy as shit and gettin busier by the day..Colorado is still blowin up like no other..unfortunately everyone has been used and abused by a whole sub culture of so called "master growers" out here, one of the stupidest terms I have aver heard..guys out here think because they blew out some WIFI in a 12k basement grow that they are now somehow a "master grower" qualified to conduct the symphony in a big warehouse grow..really cracks me up and has cost alot of good people alot of time and huge amounts of money...99.999% of people that present themselves as master growers usually aren't qualified to carry the soil from the delivery truck to the roll up door of the warehouse.but I digress...many projects coming on line in the real near future, Ill keep the pics and info comin strong

I've been at it for five years in this industry, 10+ in agriculture, all growing experience...I probably have another 5-10 years to go before i would ever consider calling myself a "master grower".

Master growers can grow oranges in two feet of snow, that's when you know you're good.

Its been in full swing out here for a few years now but really kickin into gear now as the industry matures a little...

Big up Butters!!...I think the last break I had was when you and I chilled for bit lol and that's been to long ago now..

Didn't mean to come off like an elitist prick but if you had seen and heard some of the things have in the last little bit from so called "professionals" you would be a little jaded as well, but its all good, really makes the ones that know what their doing stand out

Hey TK have you tested growing under UVB enhanced bulbs yet? What are your thoughts on them for a full veg to bloom grow? Have you tried the Solis Tek UV lamp or the Sunmaster Full Nova lamps in any of your rooms?

I have played with the old Sunpulse 10,000k bulbs back in the day and just started playing with the new Ultrasun 7500k and 10,000k lamps..I like the Solarmax 7200k lamps as well with that trippy purple lookin hue kickin out of them.

Thanks ITG, we give it hell, takes a strong pimp hand with these girls to really get the best out of them..4-6 plants a light and a forced scrog is the trick in these production environments IMO, especailly where plant counts can be an issue...I have some other setups where plant count is not a concern and we do shorter veg cycles and higher plant counts per light and kill it

Question TK:
what is your experience with walkin coolers, mechanicals only.
like used in quick markets to cool beer,
I am upgrading my cooling system in 12 x 36 room 12K lights, propane co2 so on so on
mini-splits looked the way to go, but found a guy who designs, builds these walk in coolers
for grocery stores and has used equipment
I am somewhat familiar with transport refigeration, cool your tomatoes on route 66
so understand the basics I intend to visit his shop next week so any insight to add to my list of quesstions would be appreciated

...grow master whatever it was ... I will tell you, just because I know that it takes a minimun of 10,000 hours of work, education and dediction to become an expert, such as Bill Gates, an astronaut concert pianist etc etc how do i really know, just because Im 65 years old and done a lot of shit dont fuck with me I know damned it...
with your passion TK my guess you are at the 10k mark, your pride shows, as it should

I have a walk in cooler at one setup now and they work great...large scale water chillers is the direction alot are going out here now, much easier to scale up in large setups and way more efficient than ac's...walk in coolers are nice because they are completely sealed so there is no loss of energy for ac's and no loss of gas on the co2 setups...this year makes 23 or 24 years for me and this process..I put my first 100 plants in dirt back in '91..now I have been at it full time at about 70 hours a week for the last 7 or so years

"BINGO"
This is where I am going,
my existing room is 12 x 36 I have it working well with the exception heat
and I can beat that adjust here and there tinker ... so on,
so I will install the "system" from a walk in cooler I can get one for 1400.00, includes 2 , 3 fan evaparators just need the line set installed, another 400.00, guess
then... we build an additional 12 x 36 room using a complete walkin cooler 10' ceilings
these things are all modular panels are sized just like sheetrock, insulating foam with sheet metal on both sides, snap lock together, air tight. some, most have a blast cool and defrost feature

BUT... just got this msg :

""Can't use the cooler refrigeration units. Already looked into it. The compressors are designed to run at lower temps and pressures. Am working with a customer now who is using the modular rooms. His first room will be partly up this week. Going to be interesting with 4 inch thick foam walls and 8 inch thick ceilings. All 3 of his rooms probably won't be fully functional for a few months.
CannabisJohn, Today at 6:31 AM""

No joy in Mudville, Casey just struck out.. oh no ...he clipped the ball and the catcher dropped it ...
Im studying it, visit the walk in cooler guru Monday
if it cant be done, I will damned sure try it anyway,
I maxed out what I have, insulate this, blow here, suck there etc etc If you are not having fun then you are ...like..... dead, Eh ?

Ya I was looking at walk in's several years ago after I bought and sold a restaurant def. worth a shot. Any idea on the ratio how many btu's for how many 1k's of light TK? With those blast chiller's? They are much much more cold then a standard hvac. Would def. like a starting point.

I could have sworn I saw in one of @Capulator pics it looked like he was in a walk in. But not sure. Thanks for finally sharing your work TK enjoy the show. Im sure you have been sitting by and itching to share all of this/ Glad you finally decided to do it.

Amazing stuff man. The construction looks great so much fun I can't wait till we legalize in Michigan. I'm as excited for all the buildouts as I am the opportunity to grow. You got so much going on, and it all looks crisp man much admiration for all the time effort and skill required to orchestrate all that noise bro!

Kindest regards

Really impressive TK, thanks for sharing. Are the steel construction members a cost saving option or are they used for fire safety?

Steel stud construction is required on commercial build outs unless you classify the building as IBC-VA and then you are limited to the smaller spaces..better not to use any combustible framing materials for cost, fire codes, and versatility of the use of space..
