Some think he tries to play like Jerry, and dont like what further is up to with the so called fake Jerry.
First of all nobody can take Jerrys place. This guy is just playing in the band and any resemblence is in the song. Hes gone like a steam locomotive rolling down the track, we will allways love Jerry. The music must never stop.
He may at times sound a little like and then again not.
Ive been to over 500 shows. Times have changed but for me the music is what its allways been about, not the drugs, getting high as fuck is fun but the music is god.
Ive gone to shows complety sober and get high off the music, flowing like a song thats born to soar the skies...
The music enters my soul and flows thru my sprit and I leave myself behind and get lost in the incredable feeling of pure light and sound all comming from someplace within...
There is nothing like a Dead, Furthur show, so glad to have been on the bus all these years, a long wonderful fufilling trip its been and theres more to come. The Music will never stop.....
ive kicked it with stu a few times, super cool dude..first time i met hime me and my girl were chillin at this little venue in the Santa Cruz mountains eatin food/drinkin beer waitin for the show to start, we were the only people in the whole place as they were shuttin down for the sound check, Stu came out and told us not to go anywhere and then started jammin Dear Prudence for us while we finished eating..then Melvin came over and sat down with us! Stu played about 2 min of the song then jumped off the stage to come sit with us...we kicked Stu down a fat bag of meltys and then got Melvin and Stu to sign our hash bag! Melvin was like, WTF is this?? haha, i dont think stu is tryin to be jerry or even sound like jerry, hes just tryin to make the experience awesome. .... You ever see Stu play w/DSO?
