I always try and use what I have on hand. I used the trays I made in the WTF Beds thread.
Cheap and easy to make.
Plus I had to buy this stuff below. So I can get 32ft tray stands.
1 4x8 plywood
8 2x4
Have Home Depot cut 1'x8' strips out of the plywood.
I use glue on the 2x4 and screw it to the 1x8. like this []____[]
Then I use 1 1/4" castors from Home Depot on the bottom (flat side) so they are movable
I will have each black plastic tray with a 2x4 at one end so one side is raised so it will drain.
Inside the wood tray stands will be a 30-33 foot 1.25 inch pvc pipe for the drain.
Each of the Botanicare 1x8 LT Trays have a option for a drain. I used the hydro store Bulkhead Fitting with a 1/2" fitting.
In the drain pipe, I'm going to cut a 3/4" hole so the 1/2" tubing will sit inside the PVC pipe.
The drain pipe, I will cut a hole in the floor and it will empty to a drain bucket.

Been busy working on getting the Shipping Container fired up.
I built two 32' trays on castors so they are movable.
Still have to setup the irrigation and plumbing for the drains. Make a couple more intake holes in the floor.
For now, I have enough done to get these going.
Very happy with the build. Excited to build another one in a few months.

U must have had a bad batch of that paper backed foil tape I've used it for years it's not used for everything that needs taping the old faithful duct tape comes in for everything else :)

I can't decide which way I want to go. Recirculating Drip or Drain to Waste with a shit ton of feeds at short intervals during the day.
I'm leaning towards the shitload of short feeds during the day.

Run to waste is the way to go with a water pump putting oxy instead of air stones this way u will never have to fuck around with ph once it's set it's set and plant get optimum everytime

Main issue is my reservoir is up higher than the drain. I don't want to use a pump float switch to pump that back to the reservoir.
My timer, I can set it for a few seconds to come on and as many seconds off.

I am currently running a DTW Drip with several feedings a day, as compared to my regular style of flood and drain, same amount of cubes (25 per 4X4), pretty much same feed schedule as well, only shorter feed times. They seem to like it a lot especially with the drippers i am using, I could see the Floraflex T inline Drippers doing well for your slabs, one line down and back with several drippers in each line would probably kill it. Not using as much water as i thought i would be, Almost comparable with my Flood and Drain.

On a side note regarding your lighting

Here's where I'm at now.
Got the lights hung. Tidied up the ballast cords.
Still need to hang and tidy up the Gavita controller and cords to the ballasts.
Taking a bong break and then I'm going to hang the Reflectix. Also need to feed the veg room.

Has Anyone here ever tried any NON-GAVITA DE lighting systems, and im not talking about the phantoms or Epaps, im talking about the cheaper DE fixtures that some of the distributors manufacture like a DE Adjusta wing, id rather drop smaller bills now and then throw them in my veg and replace them with gavitas If they seem to be worth it

Only reason I went with the Gavitas is the price.
I buy them used on Craigslist. The most I paid for one light is $250
Others I traded herb for.
I looked at getting some of the China ones with no names and most do not come with a bulb.
Locally I seen one for $280 and doesn't come with a bulb. Factor another Hundo for a bulb and your about at the Gavita prices. At this point I would go with a reputable light from a shop that has a warranty.
One gavita I bought used was burnt out.
The shop took it back and I was credited $400 and they also got me credit on a new bulb. I only paid $250 for it used and told the guy at the store. He said its under warranty so don't sweat it.
Just look around locally on Craigslist. I have alerts so when someone posts a Gavita or a D/E light I get notified as soon as its posted.

nice, after looking and running my discount at the local hydro shop I've found that i shouldn't be paying more than 400 ever really. i will definitely check craigslist. Ive got a 9x12 space with 30,000 btus of AC, planning on 8 1000 DE's or 8 6/750 DE's, think i will be good? hghest that my bulbs can possibly be is 7.5 feet so i may not even mess with DE.

I would go with 6 each 600 watt E-Series Gavita S/E (Single End) with the Gavita light controller.
4 of the Gavita LEP lights between the S/E lights.
My buddy Qicompany on Instagram uses this setup and purely slays it like John Holmes.

looking at it now, quite the clean setup, I know very little about the LEP's but would be down to give them a shot, with 6 SE 600 watt gavitas and 4 LEP's, what would the most comparable wattage in a traditional sense to the LEP's? i know wattage isnt everything but 2600 SE watts plus another 1200 in LEP does not sound very comparable to 8,000 watts of DE or 4800 watts of DE (if i were to go with the 600/750's)

Now i am reading on Qicompany's instagram that he is seeing twice the bud sites... interesting

I'm pretty sure that just because it's a de doesn't mean it's producing more heat at the end of the day a 1000w is a 1000w so the heat generated is surely going to be the same

Also i can not find much information regarding 630 watt DE CMH lamp, I see that they are not recommended to go in a gavita, but also i am seeing people in the reviews of the lamp that say they are liking it in a 1000 watt Gavita dimmed to 600. The CMH are appealing to me due to less heat and energy.

I usually run 2 x 600 over a 8 x 4 table I was thinking 3 x 315s would get me the same results if used correctly so a saving of 25% energy and 25% less heat so I can run 25% more lights which imo is well worth the cost

The maxibright 315 conversion kit looks decent and the ballast is separate so no need for heavy duty chains and hangers

I believe the 315cmh are single ended bulbs. The 630 is 2 of the 315 lamps in one unit I believe.

You will not like the results of any DE light with that low of ceiling.
You will lose height from the light itself. Also your plant base height to the final canopy height all comes into play.
315cmh are great, especially supplemented with the LEP.
I was wrong on my math with the lights.
I would do 2 rows 12x3 with 2 6x3 trays. They are a few inches shorter than 6 feet so you can fit them.
8 each 600 watt Gavita S/E with 4 over each row.
6 each Gavita 270 LEP E-series Plasma with 3 on each row between the 600 watters.
You will have less heat to deal with. More bud sites and healthier plants in that room with this configuration over DE lights at 600 watts.
A 600 can produce as well as a 1000 watt. You can get the 600 closer to your canopy.
