Hello fellow farmers, I don't know what happen this year but my garden sure doesn't look bountiful.Having some issues with my table queen squash.Has anybody seen this?is it a calcium issue?

last year i just threw the veggies staight in ground and fed them once a week with bonnies green jug nutes.and had great success.this year i expanded and used compost with raised beds.

Is it possible your compost is still hot? That particular plant also might just not do well in your area.

I dont believe so.Got it from recycling center OMRI approved.pretty dry stuff.still baffled

Looks like blossom end rot, the second pic for sure. In cucurbits it's almost always a calcium deficiency in my experience. What's your season and latitude, and zone? My squashes are fading now as fall is rapidly approaching. I'm at 38*N and a zone 7b.

I think a zone 9 can grow a lot of things throughout the year. Try giving some calcium, like a milk spray or feeding. Dilute the milk 1:10. How old are the squashes?
