No, not really. My 2 x 4 is capable of producing 4-6lbs / year. I like lots of variety, and small plants are easier to take care of and trim. Most plants can be trimmed in just a few minutes.

There’s a guy here who uses 1 gallon bags. Wall to wall. Veg 2 weeks and flips. Strips everything except top couple of nodes. Gets colas you wouldn’t believe.
