gavita e series 1700e led adaptor help?

ok i know that they sell the adapters for the led light i also know you can dim the lamps if you open the lamp and just apply power to the dimming lines , each lamp has three ballast in them tied together, what i want to know is what is really inside of the led adapter and why can;t i just hang a rj type plug out side the lamp and chain them together? has anyone opened one up and have photos of what is going on inside of the adapter? i have looked and short of converting the lamps and trying it i have found no one working on this it would save me a ton of money if i can not use the adapters i would be hooking 12 lamps together .
