Not sure if you're using your net as just a trellis to hold up the branches but if you lower it you can spread out the branches and get bigger buds lower down the branch.

They don't need to be held up. The left plant is spreading out nicely - I count 7 tops above the net and about 5 more within a few inches. I've got wires pulling out the one on the right. I'll put a couple more boards under it and I can scrog it better.

I think the Indica needs a bit of pruning. That sativa looks like it's going to produce a lot...

just get rid of these granny pots, next time, pruning pots really makes a difference. The roots are just winding up like a coil in these pots.

the leaves of the right plant are very dropping. Its either overwatered or the pot must be light as a feather and its time to water. Thats what it looks like.

Yeah. I've got a few of the cloth pots that just arrived. Would it be good to transplant them at this point?
I think the right plant may have gotten watered too early this last time.

I've been trying to figure out where to go from here. There's a lot of methods out there these days. What's best? I've got a pair of small rooms plus a small tent I'm planning to use for drying and curing. One room is for veg. One for flower.
So there's aeroponics, hydroponics, cloth pots with auto watering, I'm sure at least a few more...
What is best use of this space?
Flower is about 49x39x77 - 500W light.
Veg is about 36x36x74 with a counter 100W light.
I plan to keep mother's and start clones in the veg room. Finish veg and flower in the bigger room. It's looking like 2 or 3 flowers will fill the room.

you gotta learn to overcame that feeling that you have to water it "today"..if youre not sure if its time to water or not, than its most likely not time yet and it needs 1 or 2 more days. Just say yourself that youre not feeding it, but suffocating the roots if the water never gets dried out of the inside of the pot.

I've turned my light up to 10, which the plants seem fine with. But my temps are climbing. It's into the low 90s...

How hot can they get before it's an issue?

That's already an issue. Your plants probably won't die but its hotter than they prefer. Your goal is the plant's leaf temperature at about 78F. If you're running LEDs, this would put your grow room at between 80F-84F. To be 100% accurate, adjust your tent temperature to hit about 78F leaf temperature on your plants using a non-contact thermometer.

Turn your light down. Adjust your light intensity using a free smart phone app like photone. One of the most common errors I see is growers over-lighting their plants. Instead of blasting them with high intensity, seek to create the proper grow environment ... they will be happier with less light and a lower temperature.

Thank you. I'm using the ac Infinity ai controller. I've got their ac unit, but haven't got it up yet - I'll need to make some holes in my room walls...
For now I'm lowering the light until I'm more mid 80s temp. It's at 8 until I see where that settles. I'll run to the hardware store and get the pass through I'll need and get the ac in place. Then I can turn the light back up.

Thought this was a nice Pic of the 2 plants.

Still, use the Photone app to adjust your light's intensity. You really can give your plants more light than they want or need ... when that happens the plants show light stress. Your on the right path and do turn it back up ... but only enough to hit your ppfd readings for your plants stage of growth.

I would suggest you look into DLI if you want to pinpoint the light energy you are giving your plants.

Then this chart might be helpful ...

I realioz

I realize this references CO2, for our purposes, ignore that.

I wanted to point out that while daily light interval is important, ppfd is part of the equation in calculating DLI. I don't worry about DLI. I do worry about how much light my plants are getting based on their stage of growth. Not that DLI means nothing, but to me ppfd is the more important number.

However, if using DLI works for you, great. It's not wrong especially if it helps.

I use the Tent Buddy app to give me an approximation of how much light energy my plants are receiving in PPFD. The app also gives me DLI readings based on my PPFD settings so I can pinpoint both. I use this chart as a starting point then adjust to see how much I can give them without stressing them. I'm currently in week 5 of vegetative and my DLI is at 42.

As you can see, the Crop Salt chart doesn't drop DLI at flip but increases it. I've found that not dropping DLI on flip tends to take longer and produce less bud sites than when I drop the DLI. Again, my experience. Yours may be different depending on the cultivar you have but so far I've used this method with everything from satives to indicas to hybrids and have had some pretty decent harvests.

Mine has been different. Although I don't rush up to the highest light settings. In fact, many grows my lights never reach 100%. Don't get me wrong, I use DLI to calculate where to set my lights at flip if I want to remain some what consistent with the amount of light my plants receive. The difference with bud sites could simply be due to all the deep red/far red lighting to supplement my normal grow light.

Ok. I've got the ppfd at about 40 for now. I've upped the nutes a little - about 60% strength. I'm hoping the added nutes adds a bit more green to the sativa. I think it's a little light in color...
I fed the sativa, but I'm waiting a little on the Indica. It's been a bit sad the last few days. A little dry back should help.

I watered both yesterday. The Indica I waited some, but it looked like it was starting to wilt a bit more, so I relented and fed her. As usual, she looked even more wilty after the feeding, and I was worried I'd gone to early again, but I think she's looking better today.
