Geo pots auto pot watering system

Need some advice on the auto pot geo pots. Going on a vacation and no one to help water. Plants will be in week 2 of flower in coco in 5 gallon fabric pots. Don't have the set up yet but will be ordering it today. It says the base is only 11 inches and the cloth pot I have is 12 inch. Has anyone used this system and what are the chances I can stuff the 12 inch pot into this base and it still work properly?

Is it normal for feed in reservoir to cloud up after a day? Tap water, calmag plus, mega crop 1 part and bud explosion. I have a circulation pump that goes off every hr. In tank.
