germinate with light on

Hi All

Noob question, sorry.

When germinating in root riot cubes. I wonder if it ok to leave the light (t5) on for 18 hours as soon as the seed goes in or should I wait till it pops up?

I understand light has little or no effect at this stage. However, it is easier to control the temperature in my room with the light on.

shit keep it on 24 hrs if you want

i've popped seeds right next to clones/veggers. nothing bad happens.
