getting started again lets talk lighting

i’m an old school type
T5’s.. 1000 watt metal halide.. 1000 watt high pressure sodium..
what about cmh?

honestly probably gonna stick with t5s and hps sometimes I used a conversation bulb from ushio but switched to just hps veg and flower I keep seeing everyone say led this and that I just don"t wanna spend money and change anything I was killing it before until someone I actually know shows me the proof it worth it idk if ill ever be sold on it.

No reason to have a chat about it then is there... The single best day in my maint./eng./elect. work and grow life was hauling all the old t5/ho/hid/hps/mh/cmh and the rest of the crap old tech to the scrap yard. Going from the old tech lighting in my work and personal life would be like going from the telegraph to a 1gb internet connect.

i’m thinking the lights are not the problem..
i’ll out grow you anytime with old school tech!!!
relax buddy and quit it with your negativity and put downs..

^^ Pretty much how im setup with a couple differences .t5ho for the first 3 weeks then switch to the cmh for the remaining 2 weeks of veg then under 625 or 730w led..i actually was running the de and was getting heat or intensity problems so switched to led but having the same probs still..lol.yield with the thumper 6/750 was great..just needed a taller ceiling to run it.

To each their own, I am convinced by the diaries on here you can have superb grows with either. I think if you need the heat from hid in your grow room or if you need the cooler efficiency of LED is a big factor to consider.
