i have heard people on here talk about sometimes the wrong seeds get packaged and i am wondering just how often do you guys think it happens ?
i got some skunk 2.0 tastes like lemons no way can it be skunk lol

OFTEN . Always ............... Tell the breeder leave the seeds in the original package . What i do If not i wont plant it . Call my credit card dispute

Sounds like it was probably the correct strain, many modern "skunk" strains have a lemon/chemical/citrus and sometimes sweet smell and taste.

none actually taste or smell much like actual skunk (that I know of).

which breeder and strain was it specifically?

@BryanOconner I think they are referring to the seeds in the sealed pack being wrong, not receiving an open pack

Lots of slimy games are played by seed people, from breeders to sellers. You dont even know the effort I put in before I select seeds to buy. I prefer to buy directly from the breeder or one of their official distributors. Unless the breeder is shipping them to me directly you're going to want to make sure the breeder pack is sealed. Even then, fake sealed packs are sold. Way back Attitude sent me some knockoff Blueberry. I contacted DJ Short immediatly and he said that's not his packaging. I asked for a refund from Attitude and never heard from them again, they got me.

Different phenotypes, so same strain can have Different terps, colors everything.
Phenotype is genotype (genetics) plus enviornment and that is how the plant ends up is based on that. Depends on how stable the genetics are, but thats a question for a breeder and i dont do that.
Clones however are identical to the plant they are cloned from. ✌

that's what everyone wants, sadly it seems to not exist anymore.. do a search for skunk on the forums or any canna forum and you will see many people looking for it.. best of luck

well i did not know that about skunk tasting like lemons not really what i rem from the 90's
If you really want old school skunk then search road kill skunk on the net, there are people who claim to have it. Even then you'll have to probably pop a few seeds at least to find it. That smell was bred out of weed due to prohibition. Very sad, I loved skunk.

was not really looking those seeds were sponsored , i really just care about a good buzz strain does not matter much to me as long as i get high lol

I've always had good luck with NASC. I can't say for sure if what I grow is what the seed was supposed to be, but every seed I've grown from them in the past 2 years I've been extremely happy with. I've tried Ethos, Solfire, and InHouse.
