The Viparspectra 1500 pro would be outstanding for small space gardening. One of the guys on here says its sufficient up to about 80cm x 80cm/32" x 32" footprint. It's worth considering especially with a $40 coupon!

You're close and if that's your best effort, then that's pretty good. Now your plants are in an environment they should be able to thrive in.

Again, the higher humidity is only for young plants. You'll want to drop it back down gradually once you're plants are flowering.

Hey Grampa! Sorry for the late replies been a busy day. I worked on my little closet last night and have had the room at the same temp and humidity consistently for 24 hours now, I already see a difference in the leaves. You guys are being so helpful!

I added a fan outside the door to send new air in and have fans circulating the air inside hitting off the walls to make the plants dance slightly as though there is a constant breeze

Open to any more advice or suggestions going forward.

This is my first time growing and am looking for any advice I can get and try to learn from. It’s hard to research with so many different opinions coming from so many people, I need the community.

I’ve started with 2 clones, one is Banana OG and the other is Original Glue. Looking for pointers as I go forward. This is a very low budget grow as I have limited space and money, and am growing in a closet. please be kind in your words/advice as I am truly trying.

There are water stains on the leaves of the Banana OG from having a little bit of excess nutrients in my watering can, but I’ve learned from my mistake and won’t be spraying the leaves at all any more.

Cannabis is just a weed and there's no need to make things complicated.
You just need good soil, good light and the right amount of water with drainage.
100w of light is sufficient for the moment but you will need at least 200w of full spectrum LEDs later when you turn plants for heading.
Otherwise you will be disappointed with head development and results. More light the better.
Prune shade leaves as things go along.
Change from 8 hours of darkness to 12 when they're about 3 months old or 3 feet high otherwise they will get too big for a closet.
Do not feed nutrients until they turn. There's enough nutrients in good potting mix for fledging plants but feeding will help later with buds.
I've been doing exactly the same thing in recent years.

Your plants ideal temperature range under LEDs would be between 80f-84f during lights on. During lights off, my preference is to keep the grow area above 72f. (The plants will be fine in the 60's but those lower temps are also prime temps for WPM) The problem is as you raise the heat, your rH will drop. Maintaining humidity in the upper 60's/low 70's at the higher temperature will be a bit more challenging. Regardless, your plants will grow faster if you can raise your temperatures up. In the one photo, your temp shows as 73.9F.

P.S. Don't wait to flip to 12/12 at 36 inches. Your plants will stretch during flower. Some strains will stretch 2x-3x the heights they were at prior to 12/12. You will risk running out of room in your space.

Thank you for this! I think I am getting myself more worked up than i need to. I’ll cut the nutrients out until later then and let the soil do its thing. I’ll be on here frequently as the grow goes along and will probably ask more questions than necessary but I want to learn as much as I can to avoid problems

Do you have an idea of what age I should be treating each of the plants?

Okay got it, I will adjust temperature as best I can to accommodate quicker growth.

I hope I’m not close to needing to flip yet as I’d like to get them a lot bushier first. Do you think I’m approaching light flipping time already?

With photo-period plants, once its 3-4 weeks old most strains are sexually mature and will flower when under 12/12. You, the grower determines at what size you want to change the light cycle. Some basic strain information is helpful when deciding this ... For example, a stretchy sativa might end up trying to be 6-9 ft tall if flipped at 36" ... you end up heavily pruning the plant to keep it in your space. That's not ideal.

On the other hand, some indicas don't show much stretch at all so knowing these things about the strain helps you decide when to change to the flowering cycle.

Your plants? I don't remember what strains you're running so I don't have much of a clue how much they will stretch. Being clones, they won't fill the space horizontally as well without some training anyway. Are they mature enough to flower? Yes, they are clones. Would I put them in flower? ... No not yet. I would continue to veg them out and start "low stress training" all branches to grow horizontally across your space. You can use pipe cleaners to tie the branches down or you can use a scrog net. There's several ways to approach it. Just one thing about scrog ... be sure you can easily get to all your plants to care for them. Once woven into a net, they can't be moved. As they grow it can get pretty difficult to care for a plant placed way back in a corner where its difficult to reach.

I have a very short grow space as well so I topped once and then was doing lst to try to make an even canopy I just made the flip 2 days ago this is what mine looked like. Sorry about the blue light but you get the idea. Hope this helps. Also I used ocean forsest soil and i did my first feeding at 7 weeks. Just what I did tho I'm not saying it's what ypu should as each plant is different. Also I'm a rookie lol. And this pic was my second feeding I did ever.

I’ll look in to how the strains stretch and do some learning about the Low stress training. Also was wondering if you could give me your opinion on this light? I’ll pop a link below.

I think I’ll tie them down for my first time and maybe try a scrog next time when I’m more comfortable with my plants.

Oh I see so I’m just basically tying the branches until they are all level? Your plants are lovely bud and I like the way they look under the blue looks like you’re more learned than i am so far. Very glad I found this forum, so many cool people I’m meeting.

I prefer the KS series but they don't make one small enough for your space. However with that said, the XS1500 is an outstanding choice for up to about 80cm x 80cm/32" x 32" footprint. Amazon is also offering a $40 off coupon bringing the light to $99 before taxes. If you can only afford about $100 for a light at the moment, then the ViparSpectra XS1500 is the one to get.

Edit: The V1000 is 100watts power draw. The XS1500 is 150watts power draw. It's also got an outstanding efficiency rating.

Pruned the plants a little and attempted to start LST, am I doing this right?

Also, the Banana OG just got a watering of around a half gallon and I’ll be letting it drain a little and adding more if I get no runoff

It's a start. If you want to bush out these clones it's going to take a couple of weeks, possibly longer depending on how bushy you want them. Just be patient but also be mindful of how much room you have.

Yeah I’d like to try to bush them out as much as my space allows. I have an extra foot I can work with above the lights so I can try to accommodate for a little stretching. Will update with any changes, hopefully a couple of days after the new lighting. Thank you Grampa!
