Hi guys,

Anybody have specific steps how to prevent elongation of stems during flower? I ve read its becauae of gibberellin hormone, so I assume, if we d decrease its production in plant it might help with making stem wider instead of elongation and therefore produce bigger buds.

Plants in flower usually elongate during early morning 2-3 hours in first 3 weeks of flower. Seems like theres a research to decrease temp in early 2-3 hours every day by 5C below night temp or having bigger difference in temp between night and day. Some cold air intake should help.

Also, maybe stop using silisic acid in flower as it seems like to be a building material for gibberellin.

Weak light maybe the other reason, so perhaps having distance 30 cm from canopy during early flower but on like 75% dimming would be far more better than wider distance without dimming.

Also read about reducing watering, so maybe in aeroponics, flooding systems or perhaps even watering from top (any medium?) should stop the elongation.

Or in sativa straing having 48h nights between change from veg to flower stage light cycles.

I dont want anything chemical thats harmfull to human and stuff like lst, topping, fimming, scrog is quite common so no need to talk further about it.

Thanks
Kami.

Blue light will help keep them down , red will stretch them out.. Far Red on for 15 min at lights out can put them to sleep faster and allow you an extra half hour of lights on. Finishing your plants a week or 2 early
