Man it’s been so long since I been there. As a kid in the 90s my dad would drive straight through all the way from Ohio lol. That giant bridge to the keys is wild! Awesome place though would love to see it again.

OMG we made that trip to the keys every 3rd year growing up. Started in Toledo.
I remember getting into Florida and all us kids are yaaay and then 9 hours later we stop for the night not in Key West. Chevy Suburban with a pop up camper 4 kids 2 adults.

I see a lot of people (specifically on Reddit) get real upity about defoliation in flower. I try to clear any fan leaves blocking potential bud sites and I nip and bud sites that look like they may produce larf. All throughout the stretch I pick leaves for better airflow and lighting. Seems by week 3-4 I don’t really have to.

My rule of thumb for defoliation is to try and get little leaves that are still growing ( I’ll strip big ones too if they’re blocking buds) and try to leave the outer fan leaves so they still act as solar panels. If light is able to hit the floor underneath (which it definitely did on this grow but something I keep in mind for future grows) it’s wasted. All strains vary too this one seems to have more sativa traits and is a lot less trimming and thinning compared to indica strains.

Hey glad I inspired you! Don’t be afraid to lop off any branches that will produce mediocre buds! I have to say I really enjoy how nice everyone is on this forum. All you guys are a breath of fresh air compared to how everyone is on the Reddit growing subs. Master kush sounds like an awesome strain btw lmk how it goes.

Haha very similar to mine. Except it was a Chevy conversion van with a little tv playing Forest Gump on repeat lol.
