If its from the official webpage should be fine even if theyre on sale. They usually give you germination guarantee if you bought them recently so they dont wanna be sending extra seeds everywhere for free. But yes, I should use the fridge, its just that the good seeds go away quick and the bag seeds I dont care much for... until they make me waste my time, so yes, I should start.
No doubt, if it was that bad it cant be smoked. If its a little bit of bud rot in one bud you can kinda cut that part and wash to kill spores with hydrogen peroxide diluted in water then rinse in water but when I had buds that were rotten to the core they went to the garbage bin.

Why not dunk in 99% ethanol and then make some extracts from it?

Thats not a bad idea, I dont do exctracts but given that case I would consider it before throwing it all away, it kills the spores which is the most harmful part. Still if its full of mold is not gonna be very pleasant to smoke I reckon. Mold will dissolve like cotton candy in alcohol with your extraction.

Case on lesson learned move on it only takes a few mths for a new harvest so I got over it… not to say I’m not climbing up the walls waiting

I also just figured the seeds I was having problems with where over two years old plus they were on sale so it was old stock some pop some don’t but definitely using the fridge in future

I don’t believe websites thou they guarantee 100% germination and we all know that’s bs

I actually never bothered to see if they would send me new seeds because bank seeds I have no problems with germinating them at all so I dont know if its BS. But we might buy from different brands and also youre in the US and Im in Spain, I think there's too many factors to consider so your experience might be different. Also the only ones that I store for longer than a few months are bag seeds.

I think I tried sensi seeds? But I dont remember, and I think I was unimpressed but now Im not sure if it was sensi seeds, serious seeds or whatever name seeds. But RQS never fails for me. I dont buy autos from banks though, or barely any autos for that matter hahaha.

I only grow autos when Im in a hurry and I dont bother with genetics nor do I ammend the soil or anything. I grab my cheapest organic bottled NPK and on we go. Some suggars for flower but not much else. Im a complete different person when I grow autos I might add some kelp hormones if Im getting impatient in case it helps but Im stingy and I dont prepare them super soil nor use my good nutes.
Its all gonna be kief and it tastes pretty darn good no matter the strain. (For me, at least, I have favorites of course).
With feminized seeds I usually smoke the flower but lately Im leaning more towards exctracting the kief too.
I dont make hash, mix it with tobbaco and smoke it as is. I found that making hash is a bit wasteful, I dont know if its the process, the fact that it doesnt burn as good or both but kief gets me higher with less ammounts and tastes way better. Even tho I sometimes like the taste of blonde hash or charas but you totally destroy the flavor of the strain many times by making hash, compared to kief at least.

I had one of the best hazes from white label.but in the same seed pack was one stunted that went back to normal in flower

@Eledin I was thinking about this & I used to get better germination results with regulars seeds

About the 100% germination rates my friend says the same thing ( not regulars just fems ) and we both germinate differently we expect that out of a packet of 5/10 that one or two don’t pop depending on the packet size. It’s not always like that but more than it used to be

It definitely never used to be like that I did used to get all to pop more frequently than I do with fems.

Maybe as you say it’s down to country’s
I have read that the USA are more forgiving when they get hermies but I don’t know if there anything in that as I didn’t read it here

Sorry when I said I usually smoke the feminized flowers I meant to say photoperiods. Autos always go for kief, but lately also the photos, I enjoy it more. So I dont know about regular vs feminized, never grown regular seeds.
Maybe is the standards like you say but there a few banks that I wont name that are from Europe that I would never buy from them again because of germination ratio and bad genetics. But they were ridiculously cheap too, I wouldnt even consider those bank seeds, they were more like bag seeds in behaviour. Also I shouldnt be calling them bag seeds more like... mass produced with no care feminized seeds.
I know that RQS has rigorous standards for their seeds because unlike with other banks the seeds from x strain are always the same size and just ripe enough, while with cheap banks like the ones I mentioned (or didnt mention rather) the seed size is different sometimes with the same strains and you can get unriped seeds too.

Never really had a problem until now however as said I stored them in a hot room which seems to have had a detrimental effect. Before when they were fresh they were good. two hot summers & me having to run the heating because of my paralysis didn’t help by the looks of it

Oops looks like we germinated.

It had been in there 3 days with no joy, I’ve learnt never to give up on seats until they look like they’re never gonna make it or at least a week especially with old seeds.

On the fourth day, I noticed what look like a little crack.

On the fifth day, I got so stoned. I forgot about it

On the sixth day, I didn’t wake up until the afternoon lol needed sleep.

So we are here we are not the best start to life but another baby ready to shine.

That’s the one thing I love about my thread. I’ll show you some good grows but I won’t hide my fess ups like YouTubers do

Looking at my grow with a stoned head & not Ill.

It’s needs nursing back to health I pulled out the burnt seedling from the nematode overdose I’ve still kept the 4 autos even though they’re not gonna produce much.

The new seedlings i put in & was still ill got overwatered & need drying out.

I’m definitely gonna jar up some to put aside in case this ever happens again.

They don’t look awful they’re just overwatered.

I managed to to secure 16oz when it’s ready from another old organic grower.

I know four growers around here one grows badly with synthetic nutrients and bugs.

The other just grows with bugs all the time & his stuff is horrible.

The other just grows for himself and his wife however grows organically & grows well.

Then there’s this guy who I’m getting the 16oz from ( only a few weeks left ) who’s stuff is also organic
His lights could be set up better & a bit of lst wouldn’t go amiss but his weed is spot on.
He does have severe asthma and is on dialysis so kind of excusing for him for his lights and stuff

While I’m waiting when I run out of the bit I managed to get the other day I’m of to Amsterdam I’m just waiting for my new passport witch should be here soon, guessing Tuesday Wednesday.

Been going through my old grow thread “ inside the Rasta tent “ & this one torturing myself

It’s funny, no matter how old they are. I seem to go oh I remember that one.

I give up all the old badly stored seeds bar 1 have all mutated & have no vigour.

There all different strains from different breeders which worked well when I had them.
I decided frog this & ordered some new beans.

Waiting on some black domina ~ yum yum & some Papaya Jealousy from sensi seeds was gonna do rqs but they can wait I wanted to grow black domina anyway

They all have one thing in common stored in not enough dark & to much heat. They are in the fridge now & I’ll slowly add one or two each run till there gone however no matter what I won’t store beans like that again.

Fresh start with new seeds is the best bet ok I can put them aside till they grow out of it but it’s taking forever one had the head no bigger than a pin & i definitely ain’t over exaggerating I would of posted it but you’ll never find the bloody thing.

New seeds will have better vigour & I shouldn’t have a run of runts

What I bin bagged yeah maybe but it was manky rather throw it in the bin 20oz or not than have it sitting around temping me
