Just raised up the two smaller plants so they're also 18" from the light and readjusted some tops - being quite a bit shorter they were struggling to get the proper amount of light, this should get them on track with the two main plants. Curious to see how much these smaller plants will end up yielding and how fire the buds will be 🧐 The main GDP is showing some signs of potassium deficiency - hopefully the full recommended dose of Tiger Bloom I gave yesterday will take care of that. If it continues to stay the same or get worse, I'll bump up the Tiger Bloom on the next feeding.

Just fed them all their first dose of Tiger Bloom along with their recommended dose of Big Bloom and Grow Big. One gallon of water each for the main plants and ~2.5 quarts each for the smaller ones. Repositioned some tops and tucked a few leaves as well. Looking good!

I'm waiting for week 5 flower to see how your lower leaves hold up. I've grown NL 4 times now and have lower leaf issues everytime. (Either Mag, Phosphorous, or Potassium deficiency.. Its a fine line between overfeeding/underfeeding and salts can build up causing lockout... (at least for me)

Cool to see your using the Fox Farm Trio... I started with this and moved to DynaGrow but fox farm worked well for me. Note: I tried all the Fox Farm bloom boosters (Cha Ching, Open Sesame and Beastie Bloomz) and they did NOT work well for me. Very easy to over do it...

Plants are looking great ! I'll learn a lot from this thread and may be back to ask about your feed and watering schedule. Any chance you keep a grow journal with exact watering amounts, nutrients etc?

Looking as good as they can be ! AMAZING !

Hope you don't mind pics. Here is my 3rd grow of NL, you can see the lower leaves with brown spots etc...The buds held up well though. (Micro Grow)

I'm getting some brown spots myself but on my GPD, *knock on wood* I haven't noticed this on the NL yet.

I use straight Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil and for nutrients all I've used in my grows so far is FF Grow Big, FF Big Bloom, and FF Tiger Bloom. I typically start feeding them once they're about a week into veg as they've eaten up most of the nutrients in the Ocean Forest by then. I've heard a lot of people say that Ocean Forest is too hot and to use FF Happy Frog for seedlings, but I haven't had any issues with using Ocean Forest from start to finish so far. I've had some pretty great results on the first two grows. We'll see how that fairs here since I've never grown either of the two strains I'm currently growing. Looks like I may possibly need to up the Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom for the main GDP, but I want to do a little more observation before I make the decision there. They only just got their first dose of Tiger Bloom, so I want to give it some time to see how they respond.

I don't keep a watering schedule written down. I think I posted somewhere in this grow journal how much I watered when I first transplanted the mains into their 7 gallon pots, and I've been giving them 1 gallon of water each since then about once per week. Same with the smaller plants, except it's about 2 quarts of water each, upping to ~2.5 quarts for their most recent watering - also once per week.

Average temps have been around 68 degrees with RH right around 55% now that they're on 12/12.

Really hoping the GDP develops some really nice purples 🤞 I hear lower temps help with this, and my temps fluctuate between around 68 during the day and between 60-65 overnight. I've also heard they don't really start developing their purple hues until they're a few weeks into flowering, so I'll be looking forward to that!

Dam, is it lower leaves? Might just need a little Mag? You really want to get this figured out by flower, thats when it hits me hard (around week 5 as I sa)

You and I are growing in almost the exact same thing. (I use Happy Frog, had terrible luck with OF).... I only use a 3 gallon pot though, but your once a week watering schedule interests me. I'm watering every 3-4 days until the pots feel light. I have grown in a 7 gallon pot, but it was a waist of soil and I found it difficult to flush 7 gallons of soil. In any case, your plants look great. I'm still fine tuning and experimenting....Maybe I'll move up to 5 gallons next grow...

Dam ! Are we twins? I'm at 68 lights off and around 72 lights on... (a heater is coming soon) RH is around 55 veg and I drop it to around 40 for flower. (dehumidifier)

Best of luck man ! I like the simple green and red hair buds as far as looks go, but I understand that many love some color. Your colder temps should help that purple come in nicely late flower...

It's scattered a bit throughout so I'll be keeping a close eye on it over the next week to see how it reacts to the feeding

I finished in 5 gallons for my first grow and I've been in 7 gallons for my last 2 grows. I think using the 7 gallon helps with watering frequency since there's more soil to retain the water. The two smaller ones in this grow are just in 1 gallons though so I'm curious to see how they stretch out, I've seen people get some pretty good sized plants in 1 gallon pots. These won't come close since they were stunted a bit but have seemed to make a great recovery. I'll have to keep a close eye on them and make sure they don't start producing nanners.

Just watching the stretch and filling out the scrog...

Another feeding and watering today. Bumped up the Grow Big and Tiger Bloom slightly to try and mitigate some deficiencies I'm noticing. SCROG is filling out nicely.

Northern Lights stretch took off much more than the GDP so far, however... the GPD buds look a little further along. The GPD is of the "fast flower" variety which I haven't grown before this. Just posting a couple updated pics

Great grow journal. Plants are looking great! Following this one to the finish line.
Thank you! Welcome to the grow!

Another feeding and watering day. Normal feeding and regular amount of water I've been giving. Looking frosty!

Just watered and fed the ladies yesterday. Finishing up week 8 of flower today - fast flowering GDP looks nearly there, just waiting for some more amber in the trichomes. The Northern Lights is growing absolutely wild in comparison to the GDP. Looking good!
