Cool Man..I will get some of that then! Thanks for the tip!i use this shit called nolo bait, it makes the grasshoppers become zombies and stop eating plants , they start eating eachother
it does what its suppose too
They eat something..i don think they eat the plant
anyway..I didnt spray...I have tons of lady bugs and their larva everywhere
and lots of other strange bugs too. I dont want to hurt them.. :)
GREAT post, geologic! I happen to use a product called Surround, which is meant initially for fruit and nut trees to prevent scorch. But, it's made from a nice kaolin clay. I'd use something like JMS Stylets oil as the adjuvant and sticker/spreader.Kaolin clay
There is a relatively new control called Kaolin clay. One to two cups (240 to 480 ml) of the powdered clay is mixed with one gallon (3.8 l) of water with about one teaspoon (5 ml) of soap, such as a mild dishwashing soap or Dr. Bronner's soap (from health food stores). To make mixing easier, the Kaolin clay should be slowly added to a cup or two (240 to 480 ml) of water first to make a paste (with the soap), and then added to the rest of the gallon (3.8 l) of water. This mixture should be sprayed onto all leaf surfaces. The object is to have a white film on the leaf that repels the grasshoppers. This may require more than one application, depending on the concentration of clay in the spray.
Hey I have that on my plants wtf is it gonna kill my plants?I went out with some safer soap mixed up in a small sprayer
and I was going to test in on the volunteers that have lots of leaf hoppers
But i stopped when a spotted a couple of these wasps
