And i found his thread! Yeah thats all i need to confidently get going! Got told to stay out of the kitchen this evening so i have to hit the store up tomorrow for a strainer and some cheese cloth. Im sure I’ll use the coffee filter method as Nick does. As far as the let the stuff sit there and evap off and scrape as apposed to heat the iso off im sure I’ll try both methods! : ) thanks for as usual keeping me on track!

Step one complete. Im thinking for the sake of not messing with anything other than some pots and pans im just going to do the dump and run method this first go. Maybe I’ll apply some heat to it? know me well, ill end up getting a hot plate or something before i start today HAHAHAHA!

I know i say im going to just let that shit sit there and evap but I’m a tinkerer. My wife even last night, said “babe, in all honesty i dont see this project working, you like to fiddle and tinker too much” i was showing her GNicks videos and there is a lot of “ok now you let this sit for a few hours or over night” and she just looked at me like “yeah right bro” hahahaha! so now i have to chill back and let this shit do what it does without me in there messing with it! HAHAHAHAHA!

No idea! Take some straight alcohol and pour it into something and try it with that first! Oops! That requires patience! Scratch that idea! 82 there today! Maybe you will get a chance to try out the AC!

quite possibly chucky! I’ve been riding the line with the heat in there as im trying to just keep the power consumption down. the little 6” fans on full are enough to keep the the outside cooler air flowing through. I do want to at the least plug it in and get the wifi hooked up and all : )

Just for shits and giggles I ran the pucks from my last press through some iso. Never tried, all ways use Everclear. Evaporation was fast with just a fan. 10 times faster than Everclear well a lot faster. Didn’t get much of a yield but maybe it was all pressed out

Ok I’ll get a fan on the end evap container, and im going to go try chucky’s idea of seeing what happens to the iso in the pan on the lowest heat setting.

I opted out of trying to evap iso so im heating water up instead to test the temps on this electric skillet! That was upper management big brain stuff there! Hahahaha!

Just took a temp on setting 1 and im getting a consistant 130*F throughout the water.

Was thinking i can get the rinse in the Pyrex and then set that on a couple of lid rings ( i ordered a silicone thing like GNick to boil on a heat pad, be here tomorrow)

I feel like I’m going to get to the part of GNicks video where he says “ some times you get lucky at this point and there is no sediment”. I missed the memo about not “hammering” the buds before the rinse lol! Shits dusty, we’ll see!

I would go with a minimum of two and 3,4,or more would probably be better! Might as well get as much shit out as you can!
