I was going to comment on your bug reply and forgot. I havent looked bug dude up yet, and havent seen anything indicating chomping on the seedlings but tomorrow either way I I’ll have him move on, if i can find him hahaha! Rather keep it bug less as much as possible in the shed : )

I can't tell you what he is, but he looks like a plant eater! Double check though. If he eats bugs he's a friend of mine lol.

I left a spider in my tent, but he disappeared. Hoping it's because he had no food 🤣

Yeah he looked carnivorous enough😆 ole googs told me my pic of it looks like a bug from this side of the Rockies! 🤣 I checked today and didnt see it around. Things are going to start getting cleaned in the shed for this upcoming run, both rooms : )

Sprayed some older mixed captain jacks dead bug around the plants and on them this morning. Mites are trying to get the upper hand but im not letting that happen. Pic of the patch and the two early girls on the end🤷‍♂️ looks like i could get some herb out of this shady backyard patch after all! not EVEN counting chicks before the eggs hatch or however that saying goes🤣 its just nice to have something to put the plants and efforts into perspective : )

indoor is is indooring. they are starting to take a little more water. i really dont like the seedling phase of growing🤣 its still so foreign to me (its taken the longest of all the “things” to figure out) i feel like ill get a grasp of it in another 3 or 8 grows! i really need to get my clone game on!😆

It's an "assassn bug" aka kissing bugs. They eat any bug they can get ahold of, including venomous, stinging caterpillars, like saddle backs. Some S. American varieties carry parasitic disease via their feces, which can be deadly.

1️⃣ Predatory Assassin Bugs (most common in the US)​

  • Diet: Other insects — caterpillars, beetles, flies, aphids, grasshoppers, even other assassin bugs.
  • They use a sharp, beak-like rostrum to inject enzymes into prey, liquefy the insides, and suck them out.
  • Examples: Wheel bug (Arilus cristatus), Zelus luridus, Sinea diadema.
2️⃣ Blood-feeding Kissing Bugs (Triatoma species, aka cone-nose bugs)
  • Found mostly in the southern U.S. (Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, parts of California, and the Southeast).
  • Diet: Blood from mammals (including humans), birds, and reptiles.
  • Feed mostly at night while the host is sleeping.
  • Can carry Trypanosoma cruzi (Chagas disease), but US cases are extremely rare compared to Central/South America.

💡 So — in the U.S., most assassin bugs are beneficial predators that help control pest populations. Only a few Triatoma species in the far south go for blood.

It’s from a clone. It’s an inherited plant from a while back. My other question is it wont hurt at this point to top right? I dont see any issue with that, and i feel it would benefit the plant after the flip.

If it was mine id top the shit out of it. But its not, and like i said it is A VERY SPECIAL PLANT so hence the me reaching out to make sure I dont ill advise! ✌️

How many nodes above the top red line? That’s where I would top it, but not sure how well that would root.?

It’s kind of hard to tell from that pic i have. It gets pretty bushy past those marked nodes right? Just a guess here but maybe two?tree?

If he cut it closer towards the lower red line is there more a chance of rooting? Im sure the clone or top is of priority here, it was more of my thought to make the clone. I think he wants to top it though for sure!

I think more nodes would clone easier? But I’m not the best cloner.

I would top at the bottom line and take a nice clone from that main stalk there for sure bud.

And make sure you fill out that form for international shipping! Hahaha

I personally run 10 maybe 12 main branches on a seedling, top at the bottom line. Well sure, root that cutting!
