Hey everyone. What are the minimal soil and air temperature requirements for a successful grow? I live in the NorthEast and im trying to set up an all-season grow house. I need to know my bottom line for temps to counter the colder months
 
What do you mean grow house? Are you heating the area? It gets like -40 here during the winter some nights. I think we need a bit more information on what you are looking for. You will have very slow growth with temps being low but if it is a house and insulated you may only need lighting for heat. I initially thought you were talking about a greenhouse so I may be confused. Temps above 60s should be fine if you can get there.
 
Hi, sorry, yes it is a heated greenhouse. The area im in usually gets into single digits at its coldest. Im going to do some experimenting but im using ground and air heating techniques. So youre saying that a soils and air temp above 60 degrees should be ok for a grow? I read that the colder air temps, during flowering, increase cannabanoid output to help protect the flowers. That and obviously cant allow soil to freeze or frost to develop is about all I know. Can you offer any advice?

Also keep in mind if you plan to sow seeds directly in to your soil it will need to be much warmer then 60. Seeds germinate best around 80 degrees when planted straight in to soil.
 
Okay heated greenhouse but are you supplying a light source? Not sure I understand the plan but you may want to play the seasons and only veg during certain months. Again I may not be understanding correctly though but I am doubtful you are going to have much luck with natural sun in winter
 
Haha sorry again. Yes. Im supplying the light and heat. I framed a small house shape for growing. Its lined on the inside and out with clear and the inside with black plastic. Roll up black inside during warm months, just came down recently because its getting dark sooner and i needed to block some of the light from the inside. I have an electrical source with it for lighting and heating. I currently have (4) 2000 watt led, (1) 5000 watt, (1) 1000 watt currently. 3 plants flowering. 3 in early veg. The 3 flowering are in the ground. Harvesting soon. Other 3 are in pots. Keeping future plannts in pots as well. Trying to figure out a way i can grow through the winter.
