Grow number two, making space

I admit i havent been following along but intake needs to be low so cooler fresh air flows up through the plants and exhausts out up high. Yes.

I have one of the bottom side vents open near the humidifier.

Already done. Smoked a joint, had a snack, got some energy. Should I leave that port in the upper left open for passive intake? I also added the humidifier outside one of the vents because the humidity is struggling to get above 45%. It’s on the same timer cycle as the light.View attachment 1052946View attachment 1052947

There's an easy solution for that... Add more plants.

Today the humidifier is off and keeping the humidity down is the goal and the fan is doing it’s job.

11/7/20: The first accidental clone of the second grow has happened and into a peat pellet it went with some rooting hormone. He/she will hang out with me for a bit. Here’s hoping I can be successful with a clone finally.

And then there is the realization that topping my AF didn’t have the desired effect.

Otherwise all is well. My habaneros finally got taken care of for overwintering, the ripe ones have been dried and the green have been sliced and frozen.

The sunset was lovely.

Definitely something to consider for sure. I just can't stress enough how important good environmental control is and those cloudline fans take so much guess work out of it. I'm not a sponsor or anything just a huge fan hahah pun intended ❤❤

Ill be one of the few that doesnt like venting my intake at the floor. Maybe If the intake air was exactly the right temperature and humidity for the plants, sure. But its usually cooler and drier. I think the better method is to bring the air into the middle of the tent above the plants and just make sure you have adequate airflow inside the tent to mix the air throughout. Keeps your rootzone warmer that way.
Personally i dont see much of an issue with the way you have it now, bringing air into the top and bottom. Unless that incoming air is much below 65f.

Very good point. I use indoor air that is always above 67 farenheight and above 45% rh.

Unless our heat goes out, it won’t ever go below 65 F.

Then it doesnt really matter where you bring the air into the tent. Floor or middle is fine. More important is air circulation in the tent.

I have two 6-inch clip on fans on opposite corners at about the same height as the light and gets the leaves rustling just a little.

The two larger plants felt light and the bigger one looked droopy. Still looks droopy after a little water. Watch and wait for day or two. The clone is in the tent, in a misted plastic bag, in the shade of the basil in the corner of the tent. It still looks great. I needed something to put under the pot toes I use with the fabric pots and they’re hand watered to minimal runoff. Dollar store to the rescue. Plastic large cookie trays. They add a festive look, are large enough to sit under the fabric pots, were $1. I still can’t find cupcake trays with plastic lids for seedlings/clones. I messed with a formulation for the peppermint Patty part of, well, cannabis-infused Peppermint Patties. They are delicious, I’m just not sure it’s feasible to eat as many as might be needed to feel it. I do know some who would love the lower dosage/eat more .
