Grow room help needed thanks

Hi everyone. I'm new to the forum today:)
I would like some advice on how to do with my grow room that I'm planning for.
There is only one air intake and the room is in the basement about 10 square meters
No windows and a large security door.
210cm to the ceiling.
I was thinking of having 2 tents, one for veg and one for bloom,
and I'm thinking of making another hole to blow the air out. and using the other as an air intake.
How would you do to prevent it from smelling to the rest of the house?
Also, can you pull and connect both fans from the tents to the same exit hole in the wall to get out of the tents?

yes the idea is to take air from outside and send the air from the tents to the outside.
is there underfloor heating in the room that I can regulate so it keeps the temperature even, however it will be more difficult to control the temperature from outside in the winter. however I was thinking of letting the air into the room just not directly into the tent. Maybe draw a channel that goes to the other side of the room then distributes it into a pipe at the floor with several drilled holes in it? does that sound reasonable? maybe put some fine mesh for incoming air flow?

I would start by putting a cheap hygrometer in the room and see what you got to work with. The lung room is a big choice. I have a 12x10 feet room and it is consistently between 67-69 degrees but when closed the humidity starts going up with just 1 4x4 tent. I have a 30 pint dehumidifier in the room and it can not keep it down enough. I have to have a source of dry cool air to supplement the room so the basement is the sump. It also stays the same temp but I have a 50Pint dehumidifier in the part I draw from. I use a simple 150fpm register fan on a temp trigger but I think I am going to get an ACI outlet controller and put it on a humidity trigger. I can not put the bigger dehuey in the lung room as it generates heat and puts my minimum at 78 degrees in the tent cause it will raise my room by 3 degrees in an hour
Just a few more unexpected tasks and costs I came across.

As usual, @JIMKSI64 brings sound advice.

A hygrometer left in the basement for 24 hrs should give you all the information you'll need to make an informed decision. If it was me, depending on the basement conditions, I would dispense with the tents and use the available floor space the basement gives you but having separate tents allows you more flexibility in regard to light schedules and things.

Your plan sounds solid as far as air in and out but you'll probably want to filter the intake air coming from the outside to keep any bugs or harmful things from entering the chamber. Your outlet exhaust will need some sort of inline charcoal filtering if you want to keep smell from exiting to the outside.

Depending on what your hygrometer readings are, you'll probably need a humidifier or dehumidifier for the space. I'm in an area that is notoriously dry so I have to run a humidifer throughout the grow but my old house was in an area that was consistently high in humidity so I also have a dehumidifer in case I ever need it but out here it almost never gets above 40%. Usually hovers around 30% - 35%.

AC Infinity sells this device that apparently works well with using outside air. I understand it works with their controllers. It might do what you want. At $600, it's a bit costly, but may be less costly than a DIY project.

One problem with using outside air is pulling in unwanted pests. So, keep that in mind.

I don't care about smell. I guess I'm just recycling the air. I normally have no issues...except now when it's hot and humid.

Temperature is usually fairly easy to control. Humidity not as easy so I would say if you are having trouble controlling the humidity while exhausting back into the lung room then you want to exhaust it out into the atmosphere. High temps means you need a cooler source. The ACI terraform unit will perform most all the environmental needs you may have in your space.

If my space wasn't already controlled through the house HVAC I would probably use the Terraform unit. Together with ACI's new AI controller, you should be able to automate pretty much everything.

Or perhaps he could not read instructions, I do not have one.

To utilize all features requires re-routing the ductwork for heating vs cooling modes for example. I also believe it's now $699.00 due to tariffs. It's price-point makes it a hard to justify purchase considering its not a plug and play solution.

Jim's advice is solid, but I went a slightly diff way. have two 12x16 lungs rooms each with two tents, and a 10x16 dry room. I keep the basement humidity at 50%, and it's temp averages 70f in summer, 60f in winter. Both lung rooms pull air from the dry room. So I start at 50% ~65f.

The tents have a plexi/lexan cover under them so the heat from the lights is kept at a minimum and there's an exhaust fan that blows air across the lights to the outside. The tent air is on a different fan and it's controlled by vivosun growbhub. That fan pulls from the lung room also.

Each grow space holds about 75° and I add humidity as needed depending on the plant stage.

Last summer I could not keep my grow space below 85f, sometimes 90f. Isolating the heat from the lights was the only method I could get to work. In the fall, I take the panel out and the lights keep the tent temp around 75. In winter I supliment with a heater.

Also I have print files for filters I made if anyone wants them. It's a ring you set screen wire in, snap another ring inside it. Put cheese cloth over that whole thing and snap into another ring, and then put it inside your tent port and synch down. I've not had a bug get through one in 2 years.

If that was the case, I would have a much more positive feeling about it. However, as of right now, I believe if a grower wants to go the route of adding an all in one solution, they would be better off utilizing some DIY duct working on a portable AC unit.

yes I was thinking of pulling air in from the outside and exhaust air to the outside.
but I'm wondering if I should connect both exhaust air from both tents to a hole to the outside or if I should release it into the lung room then have a fan with exhaust in the lung room with another carbon filter that pulls the air out of the lung room?
maybe there will be too many fans haha
1 a clear tent for veg with a carbon filter that blows out into the lung room today. then just an entrance hole without any fan

connected to what lets air in from the outside.
but I thought I would put up another tent in the near future and want it to be as good an environment as possible with no risk of odor spreading to the house or outside the house, as it is not legal in my country:)
so trying to come up with the best possible setup to get everything working well. temperature in the lung room is around 22 degrees and humidity between 55-60% at the moment. It will be cold in the winter outside so I don't know at all how everything will be then with humidity and temperatures. but have underfloor heating so can raise and turn off when needed:)
but wondering about everything with ventilation how I should set it up for the best possible secret environment haha:)

Right now 6 of them seem to be doing well, I think? 2 didn't get any roots and 2 are very far behind in development so I hope they get started soon so they can move in with their siblings:)

use a y fitting for the exhaust hoses to combine them before exiting the room. I had two tents in one room and combined both 6" exhaust into a y fitting then extended from that fitting into the dryer vent type exhaust and through the wall and out the room. I put a spring action one-way swivel damper as the exit fitting between the walls. For the intake i cut a hole in my steel door and mounted the intake to my portable AC unit and let it blow thermostat controlled fresh air into the room. The tent screened portal intake at the bottom of the tent allow the cold air to be drawn into the tent while the ac infinity 6" fan pulls heat and moisture out of the tent and out of the room through the 6" ac infinity exhaust hose that I attached to another hole in the steel door that I cut up toward the upper top. This works well for me as it brings in fresh air at the temp i need for the tent to stay at 74 degrees and it allows the humidity to be lowered as the fan speed increases as required to keep the set ranges of the infinity controller. It was easier than I thought it would be to cut the holes using m12 sawzall and thin metal demo blade. I attached a 6" hose band and (2) 90 degree angled brackets and drilled tightened them to the hose and used self tapping metal screws to attach those brackets and hose to the hole in the door. It works excellent...

Look into a ERV this solved all my problems with outside air and exhaust and I use it for cooling as well by controlling the air intakes remotely.

Long runs with flex pipe is very iniffieient. There are a few websites for HVAC that have the reduction in flow for various air handling parts. Schedule 40 PVC is very slick with minimal resistance to flow of air even in turns. Semi rigid aluminum is better than the black fabric which was the worst.
I ran my 6 inch out the top of the tent using a soffit fixture for various reasons. It allows me to place a sensor to monitor the airflow temp leaving the tent. It also is even with the top of the tent for proper pull of the warmest air. I ducted it to the fan in semi rigid and then out of the room with semi rigid where the carbon filter is located. Not a huge long run only about 28 inches from duct fan to wall.

Ive got 2 small tents - 2x2x4's
I use a single 4" vent fan for both - draws air in through the veg tent and pushes out the flower tent. Its got a 12" carbon filter on it that ive been using for 3 years straight.

The vent doesnt even go outside, just circulates the room air - and theres no noticable smell.
