The filters are 10 weeks old and I bought them on Amazon, 2 are called iPower, the others are G HYDRO. Did I buy useless filters?how old are the carbon filters and what brand are they?
I don't know the humidity but I have a dehumidifier outside the room set to 45%.Never used em but they are not all created equal. What is the humidity going through them
Carbon filters can vary by manufacturer but for the most part I get about 2 runs out of them. At 10 weeks they should still be doing a good job at scrubbing. I believe aquaman was asking your humidity because humidity can degrade them quicker. And the larger the filer the long it tends to last. The filters are 10 weeks old and I bought them on Amazon, 2 are called iPower, the others are G HYDRO. Did I buy useless filters?
Yup they are less effective in high humidity. I only run mine in flower for exactly that reason. Can actually kinda plug up the pores and then they work like crap.Carbon filters can vary by manufacturer but for the most part I get about 2 runs out of them. I didn't have a dehumidifier until about 2 weeks ago. Do you think I should just replace all of the filters just in case the humidity was too high?Carbon filters can vary by manufacturer but for the most part I get about 2 runs out of them. Just remove then and use a hair drier on high heat getting them as hot as you can right through. Then put em back and see if it helpsI didn't have a dehumidifier until about 2 weeks ago. Do you think I should just replace all of the filters just in case the humidity was too high?
I will try it later when I have time.Just remove then and use a hair drier on high heat getting them as hot as you can right through. Then put em back and see if it helps
Good to hear. I actually just bought carbon filters for the furnace. After messing with a lot of stuff I finally got the smell under control. I bought a box fan and placed carbon filter fabric on the back and I can't smell anything. I moved the fan to blow air out of the room and that solved the problem. No smells in the entire house! Somehow the cheapest solution was the perfect solution.

I use their 6" x 16" filter. In my 5 x 5, washing it between grows, it lasts about 2 years.I'll take a look at them for my next grow. Thanks.
