growing nutrient questions> has anyone ever just grown with a and b ? are additives really a product booster?

I met a grower explain to me how just a and b alone works better then adding pk booster and all these stuff?

which is really weird but he pulls out good stuff just wondering if anyone uses just a and b ?

I use the whole heavy 16 lineup personally but additives are expensive

well i used fox farm soil trio and nothing else and had one of my best grows so you can do it , now i use organic gaia green all purpose , and power bloom and i add bone meal and every watering has cal mag and kelp extract so im not sure i could say i just use a and b now

As long as you have your NPK, Ca, Mg, S, and micronutrients covered, you're good to go. Some people like to add silicon. Some add microbes. I've been running Jack's 3-2-1 in coco for a couple years and it works great.
