The first eight are doing well after a short nap. Still nothing coming of the other four cups, so I'll be planting new seeds shortly.

Thanks for the tip rmoltis....I found 1...I think. Once I found the yellow embryonic cotyledons (totally looked that up) I didn't dig down too much further. I moved enough soil from on top to allow light to get in.

Once exposed to the light the Cotyledons will go from yellow to green by developing chlorophyll. It will help them out of the ground quicker.

Nice job finding it without killing it.
Being gentle was key.

Wondering how deep you are placing the sprouting seeds? I like to drop the sprout in the hole with only 1/4 inch from top, then sprinkle fine starter soil over hole to cover and water lightly.

I'm seeing the LEDs causing a lot of branches. I would really appreciate your input. Obviously you run led. Alot of little branching. Thank you towards the future. Looking good. Ridin

I've only ran LED so I'm very unknowledgeable about other lighting. I wish I could compare apples to apples for you..sorry bud. I've heard that HID is capable of larger yields, but that may be due to density. I also know LED does not cover the same amount of area that a comparable HID is capable of. One benefit is, even my 450w LEDs are capable of penetrating through the canapy up to 60", which I believe is better than HID. My message answers nothing but hopefully by following my threat through the remainder of my grow, it will answer a few q's for ya.

I'm thinking that I can run eleven till early flower, hope they decide their gender before they hit their growth spurts, and keep eight females. I do plan on adding a third light this grow, once I get to flower.

Oh yeah, the three new additions to the family were planted Tuesday, and they look like they are doing well. My lights are about 39" above the seedlings. I would love to move them closer, but the temp at "canapy" level gets too hot, even with a drop of a couple inches. Let's hope they don't stretch too much and grow weak.

Chances are you won't see sex until after the flip. I'm on my 2nd grow and sex hasn't shown until about a week after the flip.

You can get sex to show in veg. You just need to veg them a long time. So far I haven't vegged past 7 weeks.

So you may want to develop a plan now before things get outta control when flower time comes.

About a week ago one of our cats snuck his way into my tent and had himself a seedling snack. Tip: cats like the taste of plant marijuana. Anyway, I was fortunate to have saved five of the six he dined on, including two that were uprooted. They seem to have recovered some, and three of the undamaged plants have now been transplanted. I also began adding .5 ml of grow and micro nutes per 16 oz of water just to get them a taste.

I've transplanted five of them into their permanent homes, two got upgraded from coach to first class and a third will follow very shortly, and the last two will by my hydro. Also, I have upped my nutes 1.5 ml per liter of grow and micro, added .8 ml per liter of B-52, and .8 ml per liter of CALiMAGic. Each of the large pots got about one liter for a good soaking, and the smaller ones only got about .5 liter each. I have also began foliar feeding with light nutes. They look pretty healthy for some chewed up and spit up plants. I'm lucky they have bounced back the way that they have. In a week or so, once they get comfortable with their new homes, I'll be beginning my plant training. I've ordered bamboo chutes to help.

This is a couple days old and after a big watering. In this pic four are fimmed and one is topped. Also, ive trimmed off the bottom growth...it just gets in the way and draws nutes from the tops. I haven't done anything to the hydro or the three smaller plants waiting to be transplanted. Tonight I'm adding the bamboo chutes and gonna begin some training.

Our plan as of right now...veg for another 3-4 weeks and then flip them to flower. That should allow for the training to take and the plants to begin growing again. We have another light we've been eyeballing to really help give some weight to these gals. We would really like to see our plants be finished and ready for harvest by early December. (Before the baby comes)

(Left to right) plants 10 and 9 were slightly stunted after the transplant from soil to hydro, and plants 8 and 7 (soil) are doing well. Plant 7 (back row) is shooting up after a fim. Plant 8 has just been transplanted to her permanent home and still hasn't been trained.
