Fingers crossed for you that all is good when you get back.Safe to say the rez has probably run out of water at this point. Hopefully the aquarium heater has a robust overheat protection built in. The pumps don't really run long enough to burn out but I guess there's always a risk so I will add another 5 gal backup rez before our next trip. Earliest flight we could get back is Wed evening!

Dang!
I'm concerned about blocking access to that safety electrical disconnect for the A/C.Hello Farmers! I'm getting back to my roots and doing things the hard way again. Circumstances prevent me from growing in the house so the shit show will be in the backyard now. Space and resources are limited so this thread will mostly be about making the best out of a difficult situation.
I have a 4 by 6 resin shed from Costco, a 2 by 4 tent, spider farmer sf-2000 and Cali lightworks uv-b. Two 4" AC infinity fans for intake and exhaust and a small circulation fan to handle air movement. The intake and exhaust are piped directly outside bypassing the shed entirely. I'm going to try to run positive pressure in this setup in an attempt to mitigate the effects of hot air in the tent and help keep critters out.
That's about as far as I've got and will finish assembling it today. Hopefully in a week it will be tuned up and ready for some plants.

I don't care where you go or how long you're away there's something special coming back home
Unless the grass is 10 inches tall and cat puke everywhere..........I don't care where you go or how long you're away there's something special coming back home
I've got a pair of worn out tennis shoes I wear around the house. I've learned to put them on as soon as I wake up. Wife has yet to learn this...and I laugh when I hear her bitching at the cat when she steps in it. Damn hairballsUnless the grass is 10 inches tall and cat puke everywhere..........
All I could think about is the time we were on a flight landing in Cleveland, the captain comes on to let us know we're on our decent into the Cleveland area
Or " all the way to the scene of the crash"All I could think about is the time we were on a flight landing in Cleveland, the captain comes on to let us know we're on our decent into the Cleveland area
A Englishman, sitting next to me says.... Hopefully it'll be the airport.!!!
THAT made me go listen to Tater SaladOr " all the way to the scene of the crash"
You gonna keep the "Surprise" babies? All good in the shit shack
Idk wtf is going on in the GG4 pot. I guess those all fell out of the cheese...?
Rez was empty. Pots are still wet and heavy. Heater and pumps seem none the worse for wear. There was a little less than a gallon of runoff on the floor of the tent. Not bad for 14 days away!

Is this your first time using the ring drip system? If not, how has it been working for you!!It will be fun to see where they are when I come back

I've been using them since 2020! It's the only way I grow now. You just have to be ok running the larger diameter tubing. The one non negotiable piece of advice I have is that every plant must have the exact same length run of pipe from the pump. Any difference and the plants will not receive the same amount of water as each other. Other than that just make sure your rings are above the highest water level in your rez or you will have siphon issues. Me be have to be at least 12" off the floor of the tent. Other than that it's set it and forget it lolIs this your first time using the ring drip system? If not, how has it been working for you!!
I was thinking about getting some of these myself, I’m not a huge fan of the other drip type nozzles….
Any insight or advice?
Yeah I'm usually not a fan of multiple plants in one pot but I'll give these a week or two to sort themselves out before I make any decisions. You gonna keep the "Surprise" babies?
Yeah it's 40°, sunny and melting fast! Like shoveling buckets of water though...so damn heavy!Yay, the little ones are still alive and the shack is still warm. Did you have any trouble getting home or out to the shed? Well, except for a little shoveling. LOL
If you could convince the sun to show itself, we're finding it does a great job melting some of that white stuff.
Preciate the feedback, I’ve been having that “half baked” thought in the back of my mind of just doing it, but after today I will get some very soon!I've been using them since 2020!
