Hi all,

For reasons beyond my control (landlord sending builders in ...) I had to harvest today. This is a Californian Orange that spent a total of 9 1/2 weeks in 12/12, starting to flower in earnest 1 week into that light regimen.

There are some orange hairs, plenty of trichomes, some parts look "seeded" and they smell divine. Everything is resinous and sticky.

I suppose that many will say that I should have waited, but honestly that was not a realistic option at this point. Probably sacrificed significant yield and potency. Still have time to dry and cure though.

What do you say?

/P.

Yes to early, but if you had to then you got what you could. After drying you probably won't get much per bud. Water weight is roughly 1/2 % of bud,so if you see double the size of battery now, once dried you will see buds the size of battery. If that makes since?they needed at least 3/4 more weeks I think maybe longer. But hey atleast your safe. Yes. Better luck next time.. Did you pull any clones?

No clones, but I have seeds left! Modifying setup and starting over in a few weeks time. This was my first grow ever, so at least I popped my cherry... Know what should be avoided next time.

The buds will still be smokable but I'm sure they won't taste up to par nor will be the potency..perhaps just use for bubble hash or bho if that's an option

It will have a short and speedy high, with less enjoyable flavor and significantly less yield. If you can let it cure as long as possible to improve the taste and smokability.
Good job. No more early harvests.
Peace

That sux, but we have all been there. I agree high will be on the racy side. That cut could have gone another 4-6 weeks.

Live n learn. We take our lumps and keep on trukkn :D
