So I had an issue where my light turned on during week 7/8 and another issue where light stayed on 24hrs in week 8 beginning.

My buds still have decent amount of white pistols but when I look through loop I see enough amber that makes me think I can chop. Plus buds are dense.

My question is.... is it possible that based on trichomes a plant can be ready for harvest but can still show a decent amount of white pistols DUE TO the light mishaps and possibly that caused more pistols to grow when they might not have?

I used to think that airy buds can get dense given enough time but if they are still airy and there are a lot of amber then that means the plant is done regardless of density of buds. So buds structure and density are from good grow but the trichones turn based more on time then on environment? So airy buds but milky/amber trichomes means chop... dense buds but clear trichomes means not ready...?

Meaning, even though I see newish white hairs, because the trichomes are turning amber that is the ultimate way of knowing if the plant is finished and in harvest window. Right? And going longer won't change anything for the better?

Does my gibberish make sense?

Just took these photos. I know some are too blurry to tell anything...

I'm trying to harvest ASAP due to space issues and other. But I don't want to rush it either. I prefer sedated body high... but that might be strain dependent a bit besides the amber trichomes..

Strain is inzane lilac. Freebie from ethos. Today is day 62 of flower.

Would you guys harvest? I don't like the white pistols but again, I think the light issues made her reveg a tad?? Not sure. Light issue was at least 2 days in a row b4 figures it out and adjusted back.

That max see usb scope is so hard to use. So sensitive to any movement...

I think you could let them go another week or longer depending what you want in the your finished product. Personally, when majority of the trichomes are cloudy and roughly 20% amber, thats the day I chop. I still see a good amount of clear trichomes in your pics

It seems the sugar leaves when viewed through loop are like 75% amber at least but the inner buds calyxs look mostly cloudy and tiny bit clear.

They are some buds that have so many white hairs still and one in particular could be from the strem being slit open when I messed up supercropping on one stem. Or a few stems actually. But other buds look ready.

I don't want to harvest in parts rather do whole plant.

I am thinking probably another few days maybe even another week? Can't believe how hard some of these buds are and yet she's still not ready.

My third successful grow and by far the best...

What do you guys/gals think?
Considering the photos don't look very different from last week I'm guessing I'll hear anther week... sucks because I can't flower my other plant until this one is cut.

Today is day 68 of flip

I feel like every time I look at her I change my mind whether to chop or wait...

On a side note...
Does this look like PM on the bud in this photo?

Do you have any leaves that look like they have flour dusted on them? I can't tell from your picture if its powdery mildew. Most people identify it when it shows up on their plant leaves.

As for the harvest window, you're inside it. It's now personal preference in how much amber you want in your bud. I'd be wanting to verify whether or not you have WPM prior to putting any more effort into the plants. Fungus infected weed really can't be safely fixed. It's dangerous especially to those who have suppressed immune systems.

Ty4 reply.
Definitely no white dust on leaves.

I think I confuse PM with those bulbous trichomes (?) That are basically flat and through loop they look like tiny bubbles and I was thinking it's PM. But definitely no leaves have any white dust.

Does it ALWAYS start as white dust on leaves?

I'm no WPM expert, but it doesn't sound like your plants have been infected based on what you just said in your last post.
