Hello guys…

So, decided to grow some clones but it was a little late in season and now we have a lot of wet, rainy weather. The plants are doing okay…but there are already signs of bud rot. Would harvesting early be an awful idea? Besides yield, what else is affected by harvesting early?

Liken it to eating unripe fruit, but it's certainly better than losing it all from mold.

Signs of bud rot....yikes...get at it it will ruin the entire plant very very quickly....cut the buds off that are affected and deal with the reason for the rot or chop them and wash them before you dry. I only grow indoors now for that reason...Too many hopes & dreams gone to tears...

If you're getting bud rot and can't correct the environmental issues, you might as well chop.

The flavor will also be off. The terps aren't ripe yet, either, and if it's harvested early enough, even a proper dry and cure won't stop it from tasting like hay. Again, better than losing the whole dang thing to rot, but I'll go ahead and say none of your options are going to lead to quality bud at this point, unfortunately.
