Mars Hydro Drip Irrigation Kit With 8 Adjustable Drippers | Top-down Watering & Feeding System | 50L Foldable Bucket

I bought it... It wasn't a complete waste of money, but it is essentially just off the shelf parts.

What you get
- A Small pond pump
- Hoses and fittings
- Drip emitters
- 50Ltr vat (soft/collapsable)
I initially bought it as i priced the parts to build it myself and couldn't match the price.

What I know now
- a 4x4 tent with 4 plants under a scrog in coco/perlite flipped to flower does only needs around 20litrs per day
- nutrients should only be mixed up and used with in 24-48 hours so the 50litre vat is far to big to be practical in the early stages
- The vat once filled is impossible to move as there is no way to pick it up
- the vat is a pain in the arse to rinse and clean out
- the last 4-6 litres is impossible to reach with the supplied pump
- their is no way to automate it through the tents controller so you either do it mannually or with a smart socket

What i ended up doing
- bought a 25litre bucket with a sturdy handle
- stuck the pump that came with the kit in the bucket
- bout my own better hoses and drip emitters and created my own drip emitter rings
IMG 3132
- the bucket is easier to clean tilting the bucket ithe pump can reach all but the last 200-300mls
- my drip emitter rings i made are far more simpler to tune to ensure all plants get the came amount of feed
- with 8 emitters in the kit and 4 plant you get 2 emitters per pot but you don't reach all the growing medium with just 2
- the local hardware store did not carry emitters or hose compatible with the mars kit so i ended up replacing it entirely
- if you only had 2 pots or one large you might find the included kit enough

Would i recommend? No
- its false economy while it appears cheaper on paper once you realise its short comings
- with 4 plants in early flower my 25Litre bucket makes up enough feed for a single feed delivered in 2 shots AM and PM 2-3hours before lights out
- If the plants get thirstier as the flower i will either mix up two batches a day or get a second bucket so the soft vat will never get used

If i did it all again:
- go to hardware store get and by a small pump hose emitters misc fittings/elbows whatever you think you need.
