Hash to Oil Noob Question

Hi everyone i'm new here
I've been making oil from weed a very long time for my self only and I know this process pretty well
But now days it's getting harder to find weed and I have to buy hash instead (attached picture)
I've made a batch of oil from my hash in the same way I make with weed
But now I'm having second thoughts if this really work and SAFE so I haven't try it yet
After I decarb the hash and I add the oil for a few hours in low temp then all hash (melt) so it was really hard to filter. I've try coffee filter but it breaks :)
Anyway......

I have a few questions about making eatable Oil from Hash
Can I make eatable oil / olive oil from hash the same way I make my oil from weed?
If I understand it correct then hash is made with the help of butane. So will my oil have butane in it and is it safe to eat?

PPP,
1) yes it’s the same extraction procedure. But, the hash will probably not crumble like dried buds. Work on creating as much surface area as you can - grind, scape, put it in a coffee grinder.

2) does your hash have a butane aroma? Does your hash spontaneously burst into flames near aflame? I’m guessing not. You’re fine with it.
