Puna is a mess. Mostly the guys are still without power, gonna be awhile. I went down to lower Puna to surf yesterday and it looks like a bomb went off.

The water was a little dirty and smelled different, the beach has changed sooo much. The parking lot was a foot deep with rocks. Trees down everywhere.

glad you and dirty made it thru ok bro! fucker was one mean one! I gotta go work Puna today. everyone has been telling me the whole landscape changed. I always tell people to pray before going past nanawale to lava tree park, those fucking trees are a killer. luckily no lost plants on my end. I layed down my 30 gallon pots to ride thru the storm and the ones inground withstood the blast. I had to prop them back up tho. dirty said he no more internet/power as of yesterday so might be back up soon hopefully. other than that, whew, we got super lucky, it could have been waaay worse. now gotta clean up and start planting again. sooo many people rely on Paka to help make ends meet out there, it will be interesting to see what happens at the end of this long season. might be dry as fuck for little while. alright, aloha peoples, malama pono, and drive fast!!

It's pretty fucked that people are out trying to taking advantage of their neighbors in this situation. Been hearing reports of thefts and people wandering up driveways pretending they are with the national guard checking if people are home.
