I have rockwool in the second crop, and I have plants for 3 weeks and they haven't taken a root down. Something with the baskets is not going well for me.

You mean there are no roots growing out under the rockwool block?

Yes,Some have it and some don't. My waterings are not continuous and some dried up along the way and it probably damaged the roots. I'm in the 3rd week of growth. For the last 3 days I've been giving about a liter a day without runoff. Before I used to water every few days with runoff filling the cubes all the way with water.

Well rockwool is extremely capillary and hold lots of water, lift it after watering they will be very heavy, you have to make sure you saturate it good and do controlled drybacks, this controlled dry back will make they search water at the bottom of the cubes, roots will air prune heavily in rockwool blocks tho it's normal, they look healthy tho, a tad dark green if so.

What nutrients, PH and EC are you using?

They look healthy without a healthy root system..1.5/1.7 ec advanced nutrients
Ph 5.8/5.7
What's your plan? Crop steer micro dosing? Or 1-3 feeds per day?
Anyways saturate cubes well with runoffs and do sensible drybacks so you induce the roots to reach for the cube end.

They were just airpruned for lack of water it seems but will grow out of it for sure plants are not showing any sign of stress caused by root problems.

Tnx bro .
The plan is 3 feedings a day. Can you explain a little what to do that I will understand and do today?
And I think they do get a little pressure because their branches are a little purple.

@Wolverine1
Give tham enough feed to get 30% runoff so the cubes are 100% saturated, than wait for it to dryback to 30-50% of their original saturated weight and feed again.

Raise it with your hands and feel their weight after feeding and before feeding again so you get the feel for when they need water.

This will also encourage roots to grow to the edges and the bottom of the rockwool cubes.
