It's far from cost effective to spend an outdoor season to grow 1/4 lb plants. I am well aware of what can be achieved outside in oregon and its definately much more then that. I have never seen mmj sold for the cost of growing it. It may happen but it's definately not the norm.

There is no marijuana sold in Oregon.

You are reimbursed for your costs in. Thats whatever I want until I recoup the costs. There is nothing that says you have to liquidate it at cost, and why would you? After giving your patients the weed they have been waiting for, if you got reimbursed at cost, you would not recover your costs in. That doesnt make any sense.

Getting a 1/4 lb a plant anywhere is great! You dont spend the season... It just happens. I'm talking about money, not time. Your time is worthless in Oregon until march. Even after that point, the price will still be determined by the market. If you tried charging for your time the price would be astronomical.

You pay for lights and electricity inside, you dont out. The same plant outside by those merits alone is more cost effective whatever the weight.

Welcome to the farm.

So with Oregon voting for legalization in November is there still a need for an MMJ CARD SYSTEM? Dispensaries in S. Oregon were raided by local police this last year cutting off supply to many patients. One dispensary had been investigated for 18 months. They were charged with selling marijuana after complaints that they were making money above the cost of growing. SO, if they had charged less than street prices wouldn't this lead to patients buying from them and reselling on the street? Now with the state making rules for dispensaries and everyone seems to see marijuana as an opportunity to collect a tax. TAKE THE MONEY OUT OF IT AND YOU TAKE THE CRIME OUT OF IT.

The medical program MUST remain intact for me to support any recreational legalization bill. Unless that bill includes home cultivation...

You dont need to take the money out, you just need to take the crime out. If its not a crime, there are no criminals. Blatant price gouging happens, but any price can be justified with receipts.

My wife's parents got into a dispensary in southern oregon last year without cards and purchased marijuana.... Fuckin idiots down there I swear. That shop is closed now. I WONDER WHY? NOT. DUH!
If you dont run a water tight operation your fuckin ship is gonna sink.

Moral of the thread? Dont be a dumbass.

I only frequented the SONORML in Medford and never saw any of that, in fact they would not let anyone in without showing a CURRENT card. Being a grower I relied on them for clones($10 each) and occasionally I would buy a ten dollar gram of a new strain. These seemed like fair prices for the times. Patients were not complaining about price. They were glad to get it.

Wonder why lol. Seems like everytime I peek in there Stona's cryin about how nobody is givin his threads enough attention...what a pathetic dirtbag lol! You can only ban long time members and talk shit to peeps so long before karmas kicks you in the fuckin teeth and he and Matt are both findin that shit out. Good to see you guys migratin to the farm, good to have ya here! MGG

Thanks MGG the other place has turned into a ghost town.

Well, I guess that goes to show that if you don't value your members and at least attempt to treat them with respect, they ain't gonna take it forever! Between that and having shit genetics and terrible business practices, it's no damn wonder nobody's there. However...

Damn glad YOU'RE here O.G.! For those of you who don't know him, OG is a great guy and a hell of a good grower! BCBD's loss is definitely the Farm's gain! Welcome, bro! I look forward to lots of good times and great grows!

Best,

Max :wacky:

Thanks for the warm welcome Max. I'm happy to have been turned on to this site, there seems to be an abundance of highly skilled growers here to learn from. This place can't help but make my garden better.
