Whats up fellow farmers. My name is Smokey I am 34 year old male that has a lazy wife and 2 kids. I grow legaly in Portland Oregon per OMMP.
I have been growing for the last 15 years in many ways trying to find what best works for me.
I currently grow in Coco using House and Garden Coco nutes. There full line and loving it.
My first ever grow was a learning lesson. We grew in the top floor of the Crust Palace we called it. We grew in Gutters running NFT. We did not know what the hell we were doiing then. We let the plants veg for 45 days.
Well half way thru flower I came home to find a flood, the walls and ceiling were coming off. What happened is the plants got too big and stretched the gutters too wide and pumped the whole res of water out and onto the floor. What a mess and job to fix. We did have a good harvest for our first time.
Now I have learned my lesson. Never grow hydro in a upper level house.
Anyway it is good to be here and reading and learning.

I have a good strain stock and am willing to help people out in the Portland area that have there cards.

I am currently growing Genesis 1:29's Blackberry and his Shishkaberry cuts. He is not the breeder but the person that brought them to our community.

After being on here my one dream clone to get is the Tahoe OG Kush. That is nowhere in the Portland area. :headbang

Hey Smokey! I saw your opening post. Im from the portland area too. I live out in Aloha.

Anyhow, im a Cancer Survivor, and a long time pot smoker (since I was 12, and im 35 now). Im on the OMMP card, but my current grower can only provide me with 2 Oz's a month. I go through an 1 OZ a week, and typically go through my 2 OZ's half way through the month. His solution to help me "stretch my supply"was to start giving me clippings, trimmings, etc. I have just been picking out the smokable content, and saving the rest for when I can afford some Bubble Bags to process it into something more smokable.

Anyhow, im really looking for a new grower in the Portland area, someone who treats me like a "patient" and not a "Customer" if you know what I mean. Im looking to get 4 oz's a month, and I can provide very limited amount of money for grow costs (Maybe 50$ a month?) since my only income is disability. Im also looking for someone that I wouldn't have to wait for an entire cycle to start getting medicine. I cant go 2 days without my medicine, let alone 2 months or more, so being able to get started "on the fly" is pretty critical for me.

Do you have any tips for someone trying to find a grower?

I need a grower ASAP. My last grower did not work out due to problems on his part. I just moved to NE Portland, and need to change my address and grower info on my card before the end of this month (July) can you help me, or do you know anyone who can? I am a lower back pain/fibromyalgia fighter, and very dependable trustworthy, approachable, sensible, friendly, and easy to work with. I just had a bad grower, and need a good one. Help?

I thought Cali Connection did not ship seeds outside cali? Where did you get yours from? Not trying to dis on Swerve but I believe the Original Tahoe OG is a clone only. I think I read that he hit the Tahoe with pollen from something to get it in seed form. I dont remember which one it was.
I would be down to get them. I just do not know where to get them at. I would also like to try out the Larry also.

Also what part of Colorado are you from? I used to live in Dillon up in Summit County right by Keystone Mountain and worked at the Kickapoo tavern for a few years. I also was transfered there for work, that is why I moved, I first worked at Old Chicago for a while but found a better deal at the Kickapoo. Sorry to go off topic. I miss Co. so much!

I have a few questions.. Due to health reasons, I may need to move closer to family so that means Portland or Vancover area within 50-60 miles.

I am a caregiver currently but I would love to get info on being a caregiver for the ill up there. How many patients can I have? Can I work out of my house? Can im survive? lol..

You would want to move to Portland over Vancouver if your deciding on which is better for laws for legal growing.

In Oregon we can do things they cannot do in Washington.

For example there is no limit on how many growers can reside at one address. Each grower can grow for 4 patients each having 6 plants in flower, and each patient being able to have a total of 24 plants, 18 immature ones below 12 inches in any direction not flowering. 6 plants above 12 inches are considered mature.
So each grower is allowed a total of 24 plants in flower with 4 patients, Each patient is allowed 1.5 pounds. That means if a grower has 4 patients the grower is allowed to carry 6 pounds on them w/o any issues from LEO.
Now here is where things get interesting. A patient is allowed to sign a Grower and also a Caregiver meaning a total of 3 people are protected, The Patient, The Caregiver, And the Grower.
There is no limit on how many patients a Caregiver can have. This allowes someone that is a caregiver to have as many as they want. Each caregiver can carry 1.5 pounds per Patient. Just imagine if you had 20 patients=30 pounds.
This is all probably going to change in few months cus we are about to pass this bill that will give us a chance to set up dispensiaries and legaly sell them meds.
Right now in Oregon the grower can only get "reimbursement" for grow costs. This inludes the space to grow in, down to every receipt it costs for the grow.
Not all growers like myself maximize our numbers. I do not grow all 6 plants for each patient. I usually grow about 3 per patient due to the ammount of lights and space.
Some patients here in Oregon like to get sneaky at the end of harvest and try to switch growers. And think that all 6 plants are theres straight up. And will even try to get LEO involved in getting there so called plants back. This happend to me one time. Luckily I am smart and have Contracts between me and the patient so none of this happens.

I know I may get slammed for this, but this is a typical Oregon medical mj pt. He wants a quarter pound every month and is willing to pay $50. You have a card dude, grow your own is my advice.

all the clone only elites .. fuck all that seed bullshit floating the hood ..too many people passing out bammer,or cuts with famous names that are fake ass shit..

there's all the real deal Kushs , Chems ect.. go up to OGF and get to know those cats ,they can hook you up with some dank ,gotta get to know them a bit to get the goods .. have many friends that go that route ,or head up to stark street pizza if there still having the monthly meeting and get hooked up that way ..turn in your papers with OGF and get on their site for patient/grower connects ,not here

people I grow for get a minimum of 4oz's per month for FrEE...pure headz and uber dank ,oregon is about the only state that happens in ,all the others PAY the grower for the smoke ..

this state lacks good growers ,more patients getting fucked then anything

The farm is a great place ,but there are locals in the buisness for hooking up patients with growers ..you could not pay me 10G's to grow for someone I met on the net ..LOL..get real ,home invasion after home invasion of MMJ grows ,you people watch the local news ?

Too true. People have no idea whatit costs to produce the dank. Thats just cash out of the poct costs, what paying me for my hours of work a day, plus the fact I can not go on vacation and my whole life revolves around it. I don't mind, but I'm not a stupid or uneducated person, I just am too sick to punch a clock..

Robbie, your looking for a handout. Thats fine. I help out people all the time, but you do realize that each OZ costs me anywhere from 50 to 100 to produce.. That does not include the years of studing, growing, gettin the proper genetics, etc..

A QP a month is asking for 1000 dollars a month out of your growers pocket. Does your grower even get a reach around?

Ive been on OGF for a few years now. There is starting to be way to much drama there. Lately a bunch of noobs trying to get free meds and clones. Nobody is showing any of there grows anymore.
Also you do not need to be a member to get clones for free from them. You just need your card with you. And make sure you call first before you show up to make sure you they have them.
You must be selling on the side to be giving away a qp a month to each patient. Im not a retard but it costs way too much to grow that and not charge it somewhere. You give out a P a month for free and no charge. Like I said either your selling on the side or just a real nice guy that takes it up the ass for his patients.
Myself I charge around $100 a ounce, up to 3 ounces a month then its more. My reason behind this is it does cost me to rent the space I grow and for the electricity and nutes and water bill. Even at $100 a ounce I am losing money. But then I do have that one patient that just needs a 1/4 ounce a month and hers is free.

By the way the truth about OGF from what I am seeing it go down is pretty much a front. There is a main guy, I wont say his name who is in charge of everything running a so called "non proffit" organization. Also having his own business ran out of there which sells grow equipment for a so called 10% discount. Wooohooo 10% I get better deals from my local shop. To proffit the guy that runs the place. They also have these wonderful Harvest Fests where growers can compete. They give around a ounce or 2 to get in the cup. Then there are the $45 tickets to the event which I think sold around a 1000 people. I just see thru the lies that go on there. I do have many fiends there so I still go on there. I just keep quiet lately and check things out on here. There is more here anyway.
Also the meetings suck there if your a young person. How fun is it to hang out with a bunch of 50 year olds at a party. Yeahhh real fun. Old lady's thinking there hot still trying to hook up with ya. No thanks.

But one thing for sure. Felony flats does have the super dank clones for sure.

I have a grow thread HERE ! 2P's+ per light ..3 plants per light..rock a 8k show with 24plants growing for 4 people ...not your average patients ,and not that I am a Doctor to beable to make that assesment ,but who I believe to be derserving people..

Hey man just wanted say that I was a little medicated last night when I wrote that. I read thru it and I was a little harsh. I'm sure both of us are doing the same thing as in "donations" with cardholders.
I fully agree with what you are saying about people with fake ass chronic that are not going to last when I-28 comes in to play.
I fully see how you do that for free with your patients. The way the law is designed around the OMMP we have to do what we need to. Besides it is in there writing on how we can get money. It is crap how we cannot charge for time spent. Only for costs.
Then we have those suckers as patients thinking it is all free to grow. like the guy that wanted a qp for $50 a month. I respect that you can give your patients a qp for free but I cannot do that. A single bottle of my nute solution costs over $50. I fully think any patient that thinks it is free should really try and grow there own a few cycles and see how much it really costs.
There are start up costs when starting a new garden. Then there is the cost of buying new equipment when taking on a patient. There is so much involved that they should grow and see if it is for them.

sorry to threadjack, but in all honesty LOST it depends on how many you want to grow...I know that laws could possibly be changing, buy growing in washington is the way to go. I mean 15 plants any size and there is already dispensaries up north. what good is the eighteen under a foot by a foot when you can only put six into flowering at a time... I would just look up the law more. I agree though plenty of patients want too much for what they put in and dont understand the cost of everything that goes into it.

I was gunna let off the hook, but I re-read your shit and it really pissed me off...

So, i'm cronically sick. I didn't HAVE, I am sick almost every day.. An I dont come close to 4 oz's and do not think I could polish off a QP a month if I tried. Do you smoke with friends or sell you stash.. im thinking so..

Also, being a "currently sick" (and for the rest of my life unfortunately), if I goto my doctor and I don't have $$$(insurance blackballed because of pre existing conditions and almost a hundred thousand in surgeries and procedures..) I don't get seen. So how is that treating me like a patient VS a customer. He wants to help me but he isn't going to do it for free. I would not expect him to do so. He hooks me up with a cash price, but i still pay 75% of what they charge the insurance companies.

I hate to tell you this but this is a business. You can see it however you like, but the bottom line is that this is a business and your idea of how is "Should" work in your mind is blinded by your own interests.

Its the same thing with dispensory owners. Even when they are hooking people up, they are making money. They are all in it for the money and if anyone tells you otherwise, they are lying to you.

15 er 16 yrs ,ya get to know alot of people in this game,med laws have not been around that long ,so we come from the same beginings..and it's not like I'm doing it for Joe Schmoe card holder ,they are all long term TRUSTED friends or family members ..growing for people you don't "really" know is scary shit man, that's the #1 reason why people get ripped ,your patient knows your harvest date and with one phone call can you set you up faster then you can imagine ..

I'm not saying everyone should give their patients meds for free,fuck that ...I have well over 20G's vested into my grow with all the building and equipment supplies not mention the insane fucking hours of labor ..I just happen to mention what I do ..but everyones game is different ..reality of the situation is if your even just a solid connect for the people you grow for with fair prices your doing better then most ..compare our laws to ANY other med state and we as the grower get FUCKED !

I know the patients that think they are OWED a QP+ a month just because they have a card ,BULLSHIT! I say grow your fuckn own then .. You won't hear me argue that fact

there is alot of tension due to the grower/patient relationship laws here ,hopefully a few dispensaries will clear that up and THEN when my weed is on the topshelf selling for $80 an 1/8th instead of $200 a oz ,the people will then realize just how good they had it !!

Sorry to break it to you homes. But there are ZERO legal dispensaries in Washington. Also I believe you can only grow for 1 patient in Washington. Oregon you can grow for 4 and are allowed to carry more meds.
Are you kidding me about what is good about having 18 plants below 12 inches.
Let me break it down to ya...Ya got a total of 24 plants. You dont have to put 6 in flower. You can put 2 plants in flower, 2.5 weeks 2 more. 2.5 weeks 2 more. During that time the others in veg are ready to go in flower. You can grow monsters this way. When I first got my card I was only growing for myself. Growing this way I was pulling down 1.5 pounds average per 2 plants every 2.5 weeks. So this way of growing in 60 days you can harvest 4.5 pounds on average and not have to wait for your veg plants to catch up. You can pull 15 plants at one time and get that for sure, but where is your back up?
Besides 1.5 pounds every 2.5 weeks was plenty for me.

Now do this math. Each grower can grow for 4 people totaling 24 plants in flower and 72 plants in veg. Imagine pulling 4.5 pounds every 2.5 weeks that equals around 14 pounds per 60 day harvest.
I think I will stay in Oregon to grow.

Hey man the more I read your posts. The more I see the things we have in common. You are right about us having the same mind set about what is to become.
I respect that you can help people out with what you are doing. I fully agree with ya about how scarry it is to have non family members as patients. One phone call away is what it takes. But fuck that I will and have called the cops on people trying to pull shit like that. One thing I fully believe in is security and never showing my garden to anyone. Besides just cus they have the address does not mean they can get or find the grow room:lock:
At my place I know for sure if someone even steps a foot on my property. Then there are the dogs to get by. If they make that then there going to get greeted with a few AR15's and single pump shot guns. Plus the booby trap that will fuck up anyones game.:punch:punch

I am a little jealous of the strains you say you have. Maybe we could swap some strains in the near future. All my plants get treated for bugs and Pm even though I do not have either in my garden. I use on rotation, Avid, floramite, shuttle, procure.
