Hello this is my first grow I'm on day 40 using fox farm ocean forest. I topped with Dr. Earth's all purpose organic at day 30 been giving recharge every 2 weeks. I noticed this a few days ago on a few bottom leaves and was wondering what it is? I tried looking a nutrient deficiencies charts etc but couldn't really get a good answer. I just made a small batch of Dr. Earth flower girl and all purpose mix, boogie brew frass and topped with worm castings & the compost solids left over from straining the tea. I made the mix light just incase some of the top dressing from the first dress are still breaking down as I know organics can take some time. I'm just trying to narrow down what this is so i can prevent it next time and learn thank you all so much for any help! 🤘

It looks like it could be a magnesium deficiency but it's hard to tell with the light shining through the leaf. I also noticed a couple of holes. What do the undersides of the leaves look like? Do you see any spots that look like they could be from insects?

Thanks for the reply theres a better photo it seems to have gotten worse on a few leaves I haven't noticed any insects. I use diatomaceous earth as a top dressing for ipm and my rooms super clean. I rotate spraying peppermint and cinnamon oil diluted spray as well.

Have you added any CalMag? From the second photo it looks like the onset of a calcium deficiency which is consistent with why it's only on the lower leaves. Nutrient deficiencies normally begin showing on the lower leaves and work their way upwards.

No cal mag yet as I've been using only organics would you have any good suggestions for a organic cal mag?

Also, do you have something on the leaves or are those white spots more bleached sections of the leaf?

Just as a heads up, Ocean Forest is not an organic product. I use GenHydro CALiMAGic.
Thank you for that information I'm done using it now since I'm switching to the tray2grow system going to try coco. It seems like I've had some complications with the plants I did use it with.

I don't grow in coco but from what I've heard it's more difficult than soil. My recommendation would be to decide on a nutrient program that you can use in its entirety rather than piecing and parting nutrients to help you achieve your goals. Here are some good places to start:

Mother Earth: https://www.mother-earthproducts.com/products/fertilizers-and-supplements/

Jack's: https://www.jacksnutrients.com/online-store/Jacks-321-p101469431

GenHydro: https://generalhydroponics.com/products/categories/nutrients/

Advanced: https://www.advancednutrients.com/products/

Happy growing! ✌️
