Helmet heads not comming off

Hi, I have one seedling that still has the seed shell on it... pretty tight. Tried to pick it off to no avail. Do you think it will just come off on its own, or is there something that I can do to get it off. Thank you

You can put a small piece of wet cotton or similar on it or if it’s short enough just cover it with damp soil. The membrane inside the seed shell needs to stay damp to be flexible enough to let the leaves slide out

When that happens to me. I squirt it with some water. Let it soak in a little bit into the membrane, then I gently, very gently try and peel it off using sewing needles or something similar. good luck.

Moisten with a drop, let it soak in, then engage from below with a cue tip and gently twist rolling up and away. Cotton fibers will grab and remove shell.
