Hello teens,

I been growing perpetual clones in a tent in the basement and not really planning end dates.

We are currently in a rainy heat wave, and I developed an air leak into the basement so it's schweaty down there. 80+ deg F, high 60s humidity, and the tent recirculates into the basement.

This is not ideal for drying big wet colas and I'm worrying about mold.

Any tips on how to dry in this environment and avoid mold? I have only ever hung the plant and dry trimmed.

Right now the plants are hanging in the closed tent with exhaust fan running and another indirect fan.

I could add a small dehumidifier to the tent but that would increase temps.

Thants

If the concrete in the basement is a lower temp than the air put brown paper like a grocery bag type on the floor and place flowers on bag and then another layer of paper.
This was kind of a standard picture in high times in the 80's and 90's for show your grow.
Sometimes no matter what ya do if the area you need to use is out of the specs you risk a major loss of bud. I do not think in air at that temp and humidity would work. Down low coolest and driest part of the room unless the floor is sweating and then we'll it's just gunna suck. In contact with brown paper will at least continue the drying.

Do you suggest I clip all of the buds from the stem? Keep the leaves? Thanks for your input.

Usually when I get mold it's white/gray fuzzy and on the inside of the biggest top buds when I go to trim. So maybe I should separate the top colas into smaller buds?

These were cut 4 days ago when soil was dry and leaves beginning to wilt.

I always wet trim but I dry in a tent set at 62% unless some bullshit goes down. If I loose power I have a 40 gallon tote and a bunch of old grocery bags brown paper. Also reading journals more than a few guys tote and brown bag for curing.
That's not scientific enough for me. I need the advanced science of burping a jar. Wet trim and on floor covered top and bottom with paper bag material and perhaps a light fan over the lot. The big ones would benefit the most.

I felt the buds and they were surprisingly crispy. I was worried about the high humidity but I guess the high heat was the major factor.

They stayed in a bag for a day and now in jars showing 56% humidity.
