Hello all. This is my first grow and I’d like a little help with trying to figure out how much longer I have in my flowering girls until harvest day. I predicted July 11th as my projected date but I’m thinking I might need a bit longer based on how many white pistils I’m seeing.

Firing GSCE (Girl Scout cookies extreme) from ILGM
Growing in soil
Humidity 60%
Temp 75 (I’ve been trying to get it lower but where I live it’s extremely hot this year.
Grow started March 18 directly into soil.
Flipped to flower May 9th. Now approaching week 9 of flower.

I’m sure I left out some needed information. If I did feel free to ask. Thankyou any help is greatly appreciated.

pretty plants. nice mainlining.

your instincts serve you well. the bracts will swell more over the next couple weeks as well.

excellent first grow.

Once the bud trichomes are all at least cloudy, you've reached max THC potency. After that, it's a matter of taste. Earlier is more of a speedy/head rush, and later/more amber is more of a body/couchlocky vibe. I usually shoot for around 10% amber, but it's up to you.

Nice looking bud whether it's your 1st or 100th but especially nice 1st. I'll venture a harvest date. Judging by the large quantity of white pistels, she's still cruising and stacking. If you flipped on may 9, I'll assume 5 days or so before actual flower began so May 14 day one of flower. I almost always find 11 weeks of flower until pistels are orange and receded, little to no new pistels, and a smattering of amber trichomes. Counting out 11 full weeks from May 14 I arrive at July 30 or 3 full weeks from today for tentative harvest date, assuming genetics aren't wildly out of the norm. Maybe check back in a couple weeks minimum. Congrats on a great 1st grow!

Very nice. Congrats so far.
Im left dealing with mother nature, so I'll be holding off as long as I can, weather permitting. I'm hoping for 75/25 amber, cloudy. But I'll take what I get, before I let it go to bud rot. It was bad, in my parts last year. One guy I know lost 85% or his grow, last fall.

I plan on getting a jewelers loupe this week but without it is there a way to check trichomes without it?

Thankyou this helps a lot. I’ll be keeping an eye on the pistils I’m hoping for a nice harvest really excited.
