I noticed on 8/11/19 (sunday) my plant was wilting out in the sun.
I put her back outside & again she wilted.
Yes it’s been in the sun since a seedling, & was in a ceramic pot before this big one.The reason I asked if this was the first time the plant had been in the sun, I think there is a process called "hardening" people do. It can be a stress if the plant's just put in the sun without building up to it (so I've read).
Also, that plastic container could get very, very hot in the sun. I've seen threads where people had over-watering symptoms and it was a result of a plastic container sitting in the sun, on a concrete walk receiving full sun too. (It was a too hot for the roots.).
But, if the plant's been in the sun before 8/11, then neither of those points would apply.
i’m a newby with growing so idk what coco is...what kind of drainage do you have in that bucket? is that coco? i think you should drench it with PH'd water with plenty of runoff and let it hangout in the shade outside for a couple days
No she’s been outside since she’s sprouted, i live in NY so it’s not crazy crazy hot here.. 86 is the hottest it’s gotten so far & i Have two other plants that are treated the same way and are totally fine...whats the temp outside? Could you have damaged the taproot when you transplanted? Did you start it indoors then move out? If you start inside you have to harden them off, only a bit of sunlight a day until they get used to it
Hi!
I noticed on 8/11/19 (sunday) my plant was wilting out in the sun. I brought her in and sat her by my door with the screen closed so she could still get sunlight and fresh air.
Next day, (monday) she perked up.
I put her back outside & again she wilted.
Brought her in.
This went on all week, and so I thought maybe it’s time to repot her.
So this past Sunday, 8/18/19, I did that.
She hasn’t grown, actually seems like she might have shrunk. & she’s wilting worse than before.
Note!
While changing her soil, the old soil was damp & had a little bit of white fungus in it.
Roots looked fine, nothing concerning & no signs of root rot in the plant it’s self.
Her leaves are still green except for one which at the tip it’s starting to yellow a very little bit.
After repotting her I watered her again.
Haven’t watered since sunday, and today (tuesday 8/20) her soil is still pretty damp.
I shuffled it around a little to try and dry it out.
Any other tips or solutions to save this poor baby! She was doing so well! ):
see it leaning away from the window, looks like she doesnt like the sun to me, are they all the same strain? If they are different then it could just be a photosensitive strain or even pheno** I added 4 new pictures. 2 of what she used to look like & 2 of what she looked like when she started wilting... also shows her old pot
I have noticed my plants have never had water leak out of the bottom of them. I water them with a clean double shot glass... usually split the water between 2/3 of them and then 1 will get a full double shot. Used to water them every day, slowed down to ever 2 days due to this one.
I have two others that are doing just fine
Typically you would water/feed for 10% runoff, and then wait for the soil to dry significantly. Maybe this one isn't getting enough water. (It looks more like dry wilt than keeing it too wet. Maybe the entire medium isn't wet, and roots are growing into dry areas.). I don't see any perlite in that soil. I would think it would stay too wet too long. You don't know what the soil is? The brand?
you’re saying to water them until i see a little bit of runoff coming out?View attachment 889685
used a combination of these 2 and a little bit of coffee grinds (heard it’s good Nutrients)

Bro. Its the hotest its been in 30 years. Get her inside or shelter her with a mosquito net. Maybe a spritz of water every hour or two. Keep her humid in hot weather. Or keep her cool. Shes definitely overheated.Hi!

Not all the same strain, 2 that are doing well are the same & the one that’s not doing so well i believe is gorilla glue. Found the seeds inside nugs from street bud
@az2000 I watered her until i saw slight runoff coming from the bottom,
@visajoe1 also going to take your advice... i used a hose to water her so it’s probably not ph’d water, but i’ll leave her outside today and hope for the best!
Some strains grow different and are much harder. I had a gelato seedling i couldnt keep happy outside. Gave her away because i have no grow room space left, however my friend reports positive progress in his grow room. The uk cheese grew up in the same outdoor conditions and did great. Heat is serious and effects each plant differently. At 65-85 degrees she should be perfect reguardless of strain. But costant exposure in a black pot feels more like 95- 100 for her.No she’s been outside since she’s sprouted, i live in NY so it’s not crazy crazy hot here.. 86 is the hottest it’s gotten so far & i Have two other plants that are treated the same way and are totally fine...
she’s been wilting a week before I transplanted her so I don’t think that’s the problem
