I know you've already taken care of the aphids, but in the interest of answering your question, pretty sure it's safe up to and after harvest.

A mild solution of soap and water will easily kill them within hours. 5 tablespoons of natural castille soap (or dawn if its what you have) to a gallon of water. You could also add a splash of veg oil to get it to stick to them better. Spray on and they will be dried out like jerky. Then after use warm water and spray it for a few days to clean up the mess.
