Looking to make a concentration of 3uM in a 1000 ml solution. Calculating volumes in micromolar or 1×10−6 molar always (1 millionth) screws with my head, so I want to be sure I'm getting things right.

Is this correct???

Mass = concentration x volume x mol. mass
414.36 milligrams = 3 millimolar x 1000 ml x 138.122

or around .4 grams/per 1000 ml, that seems sorta excessive IMO.
