MgSo4 Magnesium Sulfate aka Epson salt
Epsom saltWhat is epson?
There's a wide range, so overdose is rare. Ca and Mg need to be in a proper ratio, however, because they are antagonistic to each other. That means too much of one can reduce the availability of the other. I've never had a problem with that, though.
No, the recirculated air is passive, against the walls.Do you have a fan blowing directly on them plants? It looks like dry air and wind burn froma fan directed at the plant!
my plant had a very similar problem. thing is; it only affected the ends of the middle fingerHere are pictures from today. It doesn't get any better than this.
I'm going to spray BAC Plant Vitality Plus tonight before lights out, it's a fine stuff. If it is a fungus, it should be slowly contained.
Overall it looks healthy, which I find strange. Excess would also be noticeable on the top tips, but they look healthy.
Could it be that the disease is already in the seed? Cultivated 2 x and 2 x this problem.
Or you can buy CaNo3 5kg for 10$ and have calcium and nitrogen.then just allways mix epson salt first then calcium.other way you get rocks that plant cant eat.Leaf temp VPD is better to go by if you are trying to optimize VPD further as LVPD is what the plant sees directly.
But, your leaf temps should be pretty close to ambient temps. If not, then there is a problem.
Leaf temps are used a lot to verify whether the plant is processing the light properly. Low leaf temps indicates a too low of light level, not enough light energy to warm the leaf. And when leaf temps go up it is an indication that the light received is too much to process and is turned to heat energy and warms the leaf.
Although, leaf temps are not really something to obsess over imo, it can definitely help pinpoint or verify light stress conditions and verify environment considering the light received.
Epsom salts can be good. But I tend to steer clear of things that have a negative effect. Epsom used too much can cause a lot of problems. Consider it the cheapest way to care for your plants. Only if you can’t get ahold of something better.
Like someone said, you need cal and mag in proportionate amounts or you lockout. Epsom salt adds magnesium and not calcium. You play with fire. Use CalMag in the bottle forget about this nasty plant killer for novice growers. If you don’t add calcium with that epsom, you are going to throw off the balance. So to make it easy, calmag liquid every mix and never think about it :).
