Aqua man thanks for all your advice iv learned a few things along the way and hope this solves the problem, going to store in a few hrs, you think my air is to strong causing bubbles and that yeast looking crud? I’m switching to smaller pump after this flush today

A lot of misconceptions on air stones. It's not the volume of air that's important it's matching the pump to the stones so you get nice even flow of bubbles throughout the stone. Bigger stone more air needed. The important part is good surface area agitation if you have a stream of bubbles going up in a singular straight line it's not ideal. Gas exchange happens on the surface not the amount of air pumped through it. The only concern I have over to much aeration is the roots taking a beating.

TLDR: All you need is good surface agitation. I would go as far as to say more smaller airstones would theoretically be better but if it's already adequate is it really better?

Wouldn't over think it too much. If the roots are not beat up and your getting good surface agitation you fine.

That's just from the nutrients. But you can lower it without issue if you like. Just make sure you get good surface movement.

We did a ph test on them. I just looked up that ph down... It's citric acid.... No good it breaks down fast. Ok for soil nutes but no good for hydro. @Burntup that is your problem I'm 99% sure. Go buy ph down that is made of phosphoric acid.

Sorry I should have looked it up sooner

Yeah citric acid will feed and promote bacterial life. Most likely where the foam is coming from. Why organic dudes usually use it. Prob not a good choice for RDWC or hydro in general.

Phosphoric acid is what you want to use. Also provides K to the plants. As much as it pains me to say this I suggest Advanced Nutrients PH Down. What I have always used. It's the most concentrated you will get off the shelf without having to fuck with really caustic acid (unless you are comfortable with that). 1 cap full will drop 40 gals down from almost 10 after silica to around 5.8ish for me. The other good one is the GH Dry PH down. The liquid PH down from them is trash and crazy watered down. I would go through a gallon in 2 weeks. I use their dry up when I overshoot. Gallon of Advanced will lasts me about 5 months plus mixing 160 gallons plus a week.

Even worse for me is I have borderline dyslexia. I learned while doing machine work that its not a good idea to run a machine the first hr I got to work before my coffee kicked and I totally woke up or I would have to cut the same part 3 times

I don't have dyslexia but I don't dare even use the washroom before my coffee kicks in.... I guess to many years of depending on it from working stupid long hours. I cant function without it at this point. I mean I probably could but would likely end up divorced and in a car wreck amount other things.
