Hi there,

I was seeking some opinions/advice on getting my setup setup.

what I have - two tents (4x4 and 4x8 both 80tall). 3 lights @ 400 watts in 4x8 - 1 in the 4x4 (same light)

3 - 4” inline fans, 4 carbon filters, 2 mufflers.

Things to consider -

limited space outside tent, window vent height/location is fix, 5’ run of pipe to the window.

I want to keep noise down as much as I can

4x8 tent - ‘females and young plants only, 12/12 lights for light dep. in summer and supplement in winter. Must keep pollen out.

4x4 tent - used for longer days for young plants, also for males/pollinating ‘activities’, seedling germination, drying. Light can help keep flower tent warmer in winter and probably won’t cause problems during summer nights. Not really concerned with temps in this tent but it can help maintain temps in flower tent

some ideas I put down just to get a better idea of possibilities.

window intake (~top right).

Intake is from bedroom, bottom left, out window at top right.

I think I like ‘B’ the best, have the window be ‘passive’ and 2 exhaust fans for the 4x8 out the top. Inline fan with carbon filter on both sides and hepa filter to connect the tents.

only issue is pollen getting into main tent. I was looking and you can get hepa filter fabric for fairly y cheap, will that stop pollen?

any thoughts?

Here is getting close to final idea, pretty much won’t see any duct work. The stuff in the 4x4 I think I will run low, never gonna have much moisture in the tents, still to put it together and see, have more pipe clamps here tomorrow.

I'm seeing some possible issues but first, what type of lights are you running as in LED's or HID?

Hi.

For lights I have 4 @ 400 watt led panels, one is in 4x4, 3 in the 4x8. Lights are only running 3 hours a day now, to supplement 9 hours of sunshine.

Got it done today, made a few changes. Only thing I’m not happy with is this one fan I got is to loud. made a few bad decisions, that only caused extra work fortunately

Start at the start, intake - right wall, coming from the window, passive (looking now, I should make this 6” pipe, the 4x4 tent is caving in with fan on low).

you can also see (loud), fan and filter there, sending air to the 4x8.

Filter sock on intake. Also decided to use the 4x4 for drying and soon germination. I could cut the bottom half from that dryer and hang it off the table too.

better look at fan and filter in 4x4, leading to 4x8

other side of that, inside the 4x8 has been revised a little, maybe. That is a carbon filter for water.

on top. Flash from photo made me realize I need to clean, will do tomorrow with some light.

might cut the excess ply off so it’s lighter.

fresh air directly into the 4x4. filtered and blown into the 4x8. exhaust from the 4x8 is muffled then filtered and dumped into room. I read you had 4" fans

Is that the air flow I'm seeing?

I have a 4x4 and a 4x8 in a bedroom. The windows open. And from the closet wall where I've installed a furnace filter there are all the air intakes drawing from an adjacent bedroom. The positive pressure and curtain are enough to keep out everything. The furnace filter keeps the intakes clean. The hot air just goes in the room. And extra duct fan us used to fill the room with cold air on a Tstat. Works great.
