Heres my current setup. There used to be a 4x8 tent between the flower room and the veg room but we knocked the wall down to get the extra 5'4" of space in the flower room.

I don't have enough light anymore. The 6 lights in the 10'8"x13'10" was enough to cover 2 4x8 tables but now its pretty obvious I need more lights but im not sure what I should do.

Should I add 2 more gavita 600/750 or 2 more dimlux or luxx 630 cmh lights.

Ill throw up a couple diagrams.

Diagram 1 current room
Diagram 2 adding 1 more light per row.
diagram 3 add 2 more lights but rearrange the rows in the other direction
Diagram 4 adding another 4x8 table and sliding all the lights to the left

Anybody? I’d love to get a couple opinions before I just buy something

Whichever is giving you a better yield ;)

I would say I get a better yield from the gavitas but sometimes run into issues with heat if I’m not careful with canopy height. Even with tables 8 inches off the ground the 7’7” ceilings put the actual bulb at about 6’7” and if I want to keep 3 feet of space between the light and the canopy that only leaves me with 3ft tall plants from the bottom of whatever container I put them in. So usually I ran shorter strains under them but that won’t get to be the case for whatever lights I get. the dimlux actually mount up between the ceiling joists so I get about an extra 6” of space with them and they seem to put off a bit less heat so if things get a littler taller than expected it’s not a huge issue.

On the flip side I think getting more hps lighting would be better than more cmh lighting.

Maybe instead of gavitas I could get a remote ballast and reflector that could mount closer to the ceiling or maybe adjust swings would be the way to go

Yeah I get the heat issue for sure. Try a remote ballast & look for a low profile de hood. I know they having been getting smaller as time goes on.

I don't use them for de bulbs but I love my hydrofarm hammerhead reflectors. It's the same as their higher end raptors but only the reflective aluminum panels on the inside & none of the outer. Nice wide spread.
